*Just as Sho went for another round against the golem to help Fargo...he caught the muddled yell of someone with an idea...unfortunately he turned only to see her get blindsided by some debris. He made way for her while reluctantly leaving the mayhem...*
Sho: "Hey! you all right? try this, it'll be temporary, but it should help"
*Sho quickly muttered the seals and performed the necessary hand forms for a chakra, and once they started to glow that peculiar azure color- he pushed the light unto her*
Sho: "sorry about the rush, but what was that about sound?!"

*As Chayton looked around for her crossbow, she noticed someone walking towards her out of the corner of her eye. She sat up still clutching at her shoulder.*
"Hey! you all right? try this, it'll be temporary, but it should help"
*Before she could ask him what he was going to do to her a blue glow appeared and suddenly rushed at her. She was stunned, but mostly out of pure shock.*
Wha..what happened? I don't understand..
*Chayton snatched up her crossbow and stood up.*
"Right. It hates sound. If we draw it away from these people with a large sound, we could fight it with less casualties."

"Get moving you mana whores, that thing is destroying the city!"
*Field Marshal Brunt jeered his squad of battlemagi into action in typical military fashion. He yelled at them*
"What, do you think that creature is going to stand around nice and pretty waiting for you imps to show up? Answer me!"
The squad of 7 men shouted in unison: "Hell no, sir!"
*Brunt grinned in spite of himself*
"HA, thats what I thought. We're fighting today gentlemen!"
*The small town rose up as they approached at a jog-march speed, and they could see the creature swiping at the dwindling number of guardsmen and the buildings themselves. Brunt, like all of Basilisk 3, was excited about the battle and aslo what it meant about the future. Battlemagi didnt get much action these days, but things seemed to be moving in a new direction. One which called for more fighting*
*They arrived at the edge of town and Brunt brought them to a halt*
"Basilisk 3?!"
"Oo-rah sir!"
"You can already see what were up against. High ups tells me it was created by a mage of the innner council. Remember your training, those councilmen don't f**k around! Standard assignments, Basilisk: Iconar, stealth and see what we're looking at. Go! Qed, Rokh, Gorna, and Shade on ranged damage. Forht you're on healing and buffs, Togush and myself will be the vanguard. Move out!"
*The squad split up, their light standard armor clinking under the green robes as the moved. Iconar dissappeared in a small burst of silver light, and a ripple moved from his position into the town. Brunt and Togush charged down the main street, intent on getting the golem's attention, and the rest followed more slowly so as not to be noticed*
*The first thing Brunt noticed was that there seemed to be three groups in the town. The guard, the peasants, and one other, made up of about 5 people. He had never seen them before, so he assumed they were together*
". . . hates sound. If we. . ."
*Brunt thought to himself:Well thats helpful. Would have been the first thing to check on a creature this sort, but at least they saved me the trouble
"Hey you! Yeah, the archer((Chayton)) and the guy with the big rifle((Will))! Get out of the way or listen to me so we can take this thing down!"
*With a nod from Brunt, Togush ran right up to the huge flesh golem and drew his short sword. The battlemage waved his left hand over the blade, and it suddenly glowed with a yellow aura. The attention of the golem swiftly turned to Togush when he stuck its calf area. It was not happy about it*
Brunt called out as he ran to Togush's position "See if you can agitate it! We're going to move it from the town!"

((First of all, those guys remind of me of the Roughnecks for some reason )) "...Get out of the way or listen to me..."*Chayton turned around immediately, not being one to take orders without question, and she was pretty sure that guy had called her an archer, which she wasn't. However, since she was new to the area and did not really want to make any enemies here who could keep her from finding a place to rest. She sighed and loaded another bolt.*"So what's the plan then?"

Notek sleepily opened his eyes, his reaction to the pain in his side slowed by his exhaustion.
“I said get up ya’ dumb freak, and git outta’ my barn!” Sitting up, Notek pointedly ignored the irate farmer as he surveyed his surroundings. He had slipped into the flat-roofed building during the night, and a light dust showered down from the ceiling with every vibration in the floor.
Vibration? As another shook through the ground Notek ran past the still yelling farmer and circled the barn to be greeted by a fearsome looking monster attempting to cross the dusty plain. Warriors and mages like flies darted in and out around it, trying to hamper or destroy what they could. Sticking his hand in the faded brown pockets of his leggings, he readied a throwing star and started backing away. Getting caught up in this wasn’t his priority. Yet . . .
His cold blue eyes hardened and his nose curled in disgust when he noticed the battle magi marching towards the creature.
“Like they’ll really be able to help . . .”
Poised in indecisiveness, Notek was torn between alternatives . . .

*Nodding to the soldiers, Will almost abruptly turned and ran away.*"I'm going after the others! After Kaluth!" *He went to where he had seen them last, and as the soldiers just began to battle the creature behind him, he climbed to the top of the hill. No sign of where they might have went...*
*But, from up here, there was only one thing of interest really visible- An entry to the city.*"Well, only one place they could've gone..." ((This is getting difficult. We have to get the party back together ))

. . . it was at this moment that Notek made his appearance. Still glancing over his shoulder, he almost ran directly into the tall figure in front of him. Quickly jumping back he lapsed into a fighting stance, eyes narrowed and throwing star in hand.

*Chayton glanced over just as the guy with the sword went running off. She had, up to this point, been assuming that the group of warriors were all together and had probably been that way for a while. If one was running off to somewhere else and others were still at the golem's feet, then where was the most action going down? She turned to the one who had thrown light at her.*
"Hey. What the hell's a Kaluth?"

Fargo almost fell as the tower of flesh below him took a step forward. I'm not going to kill this thing, he though. It's just too massive.
Then he heard Will yell something, and watched as he ran off. A coward. No, he's after the two that vanished. And that's what this is really about.
Fargo made a quick decision to follow Will, as soon as he could find his way off the golem, who actually made it quite easy by taking yet another step, which sent Fargo tumbling to the ground. Just before he impacted, he plunged his sabre into the leg of the beast, and slowly came to rest on the hard earth, leaving a long gash in its leg.t

*Brunt watched the few foreigners break away and run to the city, away from the monster. He wasnt sure if they were frightened or if they merely decided he and his team could handle the situation. He didn't much care either, as long as they were out of the way*
*The battlemage team continued to pull the huge beast from the city, slowly and steadily. Brunt and Togush played the melee ground, agitating the golem and keeping its attention away from the others, who were busy finding and exploiting its weaknesses*
*After a few moments, the giant golem was clear of the city. At this point, the battlemagi started to show their true power. No longer having to worry about innocent deaths or property destruction, the fireteam unleashed their most destructive spells. Firey bolts fell from the sky, searing the borrowed flesh of the golem, while colored beams of energy sliced at its extremities. Save any chance occurances, the beast was all but defeated*
*Tassatul could sence this even through the hubbub of the city. He and Kaluth, under their magical disguises, move through the city with purpose, making their way to the Catacombs*

*Chayton gave up on the flesh golem. Her bolts weren't doing any good and she did not feel like retrieving throwing knives from it. She settled for her only alternative option: she ran after the people looking for "Kaluth." She didn't care about any impending doom or death she could be running right into. Indeed, she did not have the faintest idea of what they were going after, but she had just been attacked by a giant made entirely of corpses and yet these warriors seemed to find something else to be more important. That was the kind of action she wanted to be around. Besides, the city had to have better crossbows than the one she currently carried.*((I'd like to remind you guys, just in case you forgot, that Chayton has no loyalties as of yet. That's how I made her to be, so sorry if I'm a bit mischevious with who she "allies" herself with at any given moment. Like I mentioned in my chara sheet, it could be possible for her personality to change.))

Will: "I'm going after the others! After Kaluth!"
Tanyu: "Right behind you, Will"
*With the flesh golem now defeated by the crack team of magi-guard, it was time to re-continue pursuit of the real cause of the problem. Tanyu decides to follow Will to go after Kal*

Sho: "going after Kal- ....oh yeah...DAMMIT!"
*Sho took a look at the golem and the chaos around the beast before turning his back to it...*
argh...almost forgot the real objective...oh well...I suppose better battles lie ahead
*With that, Sho quickly took a few leaps towards Will's direction, avoiding stray debris amongst other things*
((wow...I guess I couldn't come up with a better way to get back to the others...that sucked))

Notek backed up as the other figures in the distance approached them.
"Who are you all? What's going on? What was that thing?"

*Turning around, Will saw a couple people he didn't know. He didn't know who asked the question, but he was in too much of a rush to find out.*
"There's no time to explain! But if you can fight, we need your help! The mages who created this thing have gone into the city, and they're planning something worse! So anyone willing, come along quickly!"
