its just a known fact that powerplaying is easy to do with mages... thats what sparked it i guess. Nah, you can say it, it was my use of the healing spell. I put that in there, but then I wasn't sure, but ended up leaving it. Hmm. I think Ill make a list of stuff I can do, cause i remember when we had just started, my spell list consisted of "necromancer like spells" hmmmm. And thanks for the tip, I actually worry about powerplaying a lot (like when I basically increased Tass's mana during the Lordsmith battle, i was a bit worried)

lol, no way tass. you'd be the last person id think to be a powerplayer. prolly just because your so worried about it you actully look for it... plus, if your character can revive, i guess it would be kinda logical that he could heal, right? well, iguess they are a bit different, but still no biggie. i was actully being truthful. im just worried about new members joining the RPG and powerplaying... or well not even powerplaying, just doing things like they are on other boards, how anything goes. you know? but i jumped the gun and didnt look into the facts before i posted that up. i mean hey, im only human. and by 'new members' above, im not specifically targeting jalathas or coral or anything, just new members in geberal, like future newcomers and whatnot. blek, bottom line, cassie's paranoid tonight...

We all make mistakes. Come, children, and bask in the neverending forgivness of the administrator...
Anyway, eh, no biggies. Here's how I see it- Tass can do anything involving souls, dead, reviving, undead, and a little bit of healing (since that is necromancy too). Kal can do just about anything, but he's a high mage, and he's allowed to POWERPLAY (becuase he automatically limits himself and his involvement in th group. He's more like a GM NPC then an actual PC). Jalathas, I obviosly havn't got much of a feel for his character yet. Sho can breath/absorb fire.
Those are all the magically inclined players. As for the others, Katt is sneaky to the extreme and would be considered a gadgeteer, so she can use any western gadgets and build her own as well. Will is technically inclined as well, but his emphisis is on fighting, and he's one of the best in the group at just flat-out melee (second only to bughunter). Tanyu, though he can use ninja-type gear (shiruken, grapling hooks, etc) and is particulaly good at fighting demons, his only real emphisas is on combat- and he is, therefore, the best at it.
Thats the way I've seen it so far, anyway, not saying thats the way it has to be or anything.

i was thinking I could have curses too. (im taking this mostly from Diablo II) Like, spells that make the enemy take more damage, be able to inflict less, that kinda stuff. most everything else i do needs a body to raise, so i was hoping for something else to do too.

Tass, your character is the first one I started working on in my ventures into modding WCIII, becuase he's so interesting. In my little test, he had these skills-
Call carrion crawlers- which creates a SWARM (20) of tiny ant-sized enemies out of a corpse. As it levels up, it adds larger beetles in addition to the 20 small bugs (for example, 2 large beetles and 20 small ants)
Raise Dead- Revives all nearby creatures (to a max of 20 per casting), good or bad, and they fight as zombies under the casters control. At level one, the zombies have less health then their original, living form- but as you level, the zombies gain health untill they surpase their original form.
Decompse- A single corpse bursts into a massive cloud of poison. Anything passing through the poison gets poison over time- anything staying in the poison cloud takes damage even faster.
Tear Soul- Whatever is hit by this spell has a massive portion of its Mana stolen and given to the caster. Can be used on allies.
They were more just to test what I can and cant do... they arn't final or anything, in fact, they're almost cirtainly gonna change...
Er, anyway, I think curses would fall under necromancy. After all, you deal with souls and stuff... so you could affect people's luck and other stuff about them, right?

(I might actually use those, hmmm) So your working on a WarCraft/Soul Saber RPG? Thats awesome! Man, I really wish I still had my WC cds now. They were awesome! Yeah, i thought Will's scene with the body was pretty cool. But onward to actuall discussion. We're heading over to the area where the creatures are at. Then what? we make our way into the tower and find out whats wrong?

And I think its safe to assume dan isn't gonna be posting, so Kal can come under our control now... As for the WCIII/Soul Saber thing, we're still debating what exactly we're going to do. We might to a Soul Saber RTS- The teams will be Kroy (eastern kingdom), Pyralis (Eastern kindom, all magi), Katyr (Magitechnology), and Western Kingdoms (all technology). If we do this, then the characters from soul saber wil definatly apear as a cameo.

You should make like unique adventures for each character. Like make an escape stealth level for Katt or a demon battle for Tanyu or some raise an army of undead level for Tass. Just some ideas...
And thats new - absorbing earth damage (at least in our rpg). How does a person absorb earth damage anyway? That is unless earth damage is just like normal bashing attacks or something, then i guess i could understand
And wouldn't tossing a grenade onto the rock monster also hurt the guy on its leg since he's there?

Yeah, sorry. I post during school. Since I got nothing betetr to do.
Maybe I should moderate myself. But this was just a little fight. When we get into real battles, like boss fights or fights against numerous enemies... you'll have plenty of chances.
That, and you could do a [rewind]. Those are actually more common then you think
