Death is not something to be regretful or sorrowful for. at least, not the way I see it. That man accomplished a lot in his life, and even though he died at only 52, I think that his life was more fulfilling then most people who live untill they are 90.
I'm not sad he's dead, I'm glad he was able to accomplish so much while it was still his time. And without the use of his legs, nonetheless.

well, you know hwat- it's the truth, another round in the circle of life...i've had to deal with a good few, and I don't think of it as bad- as long as you lived the way you wanted- it's the great escape on to better things (or so it is said anyway)...on the other hand, if it's an abrupt end, then that's something else all together
besides, I honestly don't think that those who died living their lives the way they wanted to, would people to mourn over them for it...they'd want them to move on
-------
as for the death of Superman, i'm in whole agreement with Cobra, he did things that most people couldn't hope to do without disabilities- and I don't believe that he ever looked back on it, he continued to strive forward- and that's what REALLY deserves respect

so unemotional...but whatever works for you...
But anyway, a prayer to the dead from me: Oh Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior, I pray for the deceased, recent and past. May they find refuge now that they are in your presence. I pray for their family and friends in that they find comfort in knowing that they are finally with you. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
Hmm...wasn't much but I did my best... I sure hope they found God at some point and in some form, because you know whatever they have done and created they can't take with them to the afterlife.

. . . While I do respect the dead, im actually not a big fan of Christopher Reeve. What i mostly dont like about him is that he only started his charities and stuff on paralysis after he himself was paralysed. So hes kinda self serving. If he had done this before his accident, I would still respect him. And its still great that hes donoating money to research cures, but realize its kinda selfish.

Most actors and the like DO donate to various charities. So, before looking at his donations to research after his accident, perhaps you should look at his donations prior.

Well thats like saying that I'm only praying because I'm religious now and no other reason...
Lets just try to stay on positive terms with things in life...and uh...death.

i'm just being realistic- it happens, and nothing can stop it
so, why sugar coat it? i'm not saying that I have no emotion to it, i'm just saying that it shouldn't been seen in such sad a light...ESPECIALLY if the person dies fullfilled or just doing something they WANTED to do
again, if they died before they were ready, or simply abruptly, that's a WHOLE different story

so what if you cant control the outcomes? Being realistic shouldn't have to mean disregarding natural human emotions. And are you saying that I'm sugar coating this stuff just for attention? Is being sad or grieving at all have to mean that you're being weak like a wussy? What about all the people who are sad and can't help it? Are they continuing a pointless idea? Is being emotional complete nonsense and highly irrational in all terms? And that being tough and macho and "my eyes dont tear, they sweat" (i love that quote) mentality is the way to go? Just asking. I'm not angry, I'm curious of your opinion. no pressure *cough* And how would u know if his life didn't end abrubtly? How would u know if he was ready? How would you know if he lived his life exactly the way he wanted? How would you know if he died fulfilled and satisfied. How would you know if he always did the right thing or was only fulfilling his selfish desires? And how would you know if his family and friends are taking it as lightly as you, a complete stranger to them? How would you know if they found God or not? How would you know that in knowing that the things you create in this time you cannot take with you into the afterlife that everything he has accomplished in his life accounts for anything? How would you know he was saved or damned? How would you know your ideas of the afterlife are even correct? How would you know? In anyone who has died, whether you knew them or not, how would you know? I ask this of myself, and I ask this of all of you guys. I wont speak for you guys but I will pay my respects and show sympathy and maybe even grieve for these peoples' losses. And i pray for them because i never knew them. I dont know if they were saved or not or even believe in the truths that i now believe. Even if i did know them, I'll still pray for them. I dont care whether they were rich or poor or did great achievements or did nothing at all, in the Lord's eyes they mean nothing, that's man's and the world system's scale of greatness. I pray because each and every one of them go up to the same court to be judged by the same Judge. And i pray because I'll be going up to that same court one day and i hope that someone will be praying for me when i do even if I knew them or not, cus man, when u're up there, u could use all the support you can get. And i realize that some of you do not carry the same ideas as i do but what the heck, i said what i truly felt... Hwaahh! kung-fu chaos, death talks style! *falls over...* ( ) I'm exhausted after that one... Feel free to scold me if you wish.... i'm done for...
