The direction i'm gonna go with this piece is to use only generalized iconic warrior types from real history and somewhat sensible fantasy but also non-licensed. So zombies, ninjas, and pirates work. I'm not gonna use Jedi because it would be too easily identifiable as specifically Star Wars. Instead of using Sephiroth i can stick in a generalized wizard. And this is also the reason why i didn't put in Master Cheif because it leads to Halo. Maybe I'll put in a fully armored marine that resembles Master Cheif but isn't him. When you stick in a character that is that recognizeable in a sea of "anybodies" it takes away attention from the rest of the picture. Not to mention i wouldn't be able to sell copies of it with everything under my name... Maybe some other time i'll do a picture with licensed characters. It would definitely be the ultimate fan-art piece (^_^)
