I think it's just a cliche that a lot of movies/games/shows have. Lion King had it, for one.

I don't know. That whole "I promise" deal, with the stars in the sky, really did remind me of the thing near the beginning of FF7 where Tifa's bugging Cloud about some promise he made.

Ooo. Read Michael Chichton's Prey for fun with nano technology. And by fun I mean pain and terror.

Those are the old trailers The two new ones can be seen at Gamespot, and other places I'm sure. One of them shows off a bunch of new Terran units and abilities, like the Cobra (replacement for the vulture), Reaper's "Time Bomb" attack, the new transforming Goliaths (I forget what they're called) and Ghost's able to snipe and call down Marine Drop-Pod reinforcements. The other trailer shows us how the campaign is going to be very different (Controlling a character between missions and interacting with other characters). This trailer is, if you ask me, much more informative and enjoyable, as they hint at the storyline (Xel'Naga are returning, and for some reason blowing up the universe of course), and also show us what's really going to be new about the game- even if none of it has to do with multiplayer. Also, for those of you who are into that sort of thing... they've announced the next WoW expansion as well. But then, if you were interested in that, I'm sure you already knew anyway. They've announced detail about the WoW Movie as well. It takes place in the WoW area of the timeline, will try to be more "War movie" then "Adventure movie", and it is told mostly from the perspective of the alliance (The crowd actually booed at that part). Its being made by the same people behind Batman Begins, Superman Returns, and 300- all solid comicbook-to-movie translations if you ask me (Though I never read the superman comics, so I wouldn't know on that one), so I think they've got it covered. Also they handed out beta keys for something but no-one knows what yet. COME ON DIABLO MMO! I STILL BELIEVE IN YOU!
