*Kaluth stumbles on his way out, then calls Tass over*
"Tassatul, comes here. I am in need of my potion"
*Kaluth goes into a fit of coughing as Tass mixes the ingredients from his bag*
*Cough, cough, hack hack*
*Tass finishes the drink and feeds it to Kaluth. Slowly, the coughing resides. The two sit in meditation, waiting for the others*

Kaluth enters the chamber full of gold and trinkets. He truly has no need of gold, but what intrueags him the most is the chest full of rings and amulets the Katt opened.
Kal pulles a bag of holding from under the folds in his robes, and calls forth a pair of rusy old eyeglasses. He places them neatly on his head and then glances at the acient arcain runes on the borders of the rings and other trinkets. The Eyeglasses of Tolick they were called. He was a famous librarian who mastered the knowledge of the acient times. Nobody could tell how he came to aqquire so much knowledge of the acient world since everybody knew that nobody could read the acient scripture anymore, but somehow Trolick could. When he died, the glasses were found to be glasses of True Reading, the only pair crafted at the time. After their discovery, more were replicated by other Wizards, but there was only one original pair, and Kaluth treasured them dearly.
The rings acient runes gave only some indication of how the item worked, the writing was usually the activation word. The only way to tell what an item did was to either identify it, or to simply speak the word on the item. Kaluth removed the Rings of his own and picked up the first ring. He spoke the activaton word and the ring glowed a dull haze of red. Kaluth was not sure what the ring had done...so he started to test. He reashed out and touched a pice of gold nearby, and the gold, to his amazement, started to melt at the touch of his hand. His fingers slipped right though it. The same happened with his other hand. He spoke the activation word again, removed the ring, and placed in in the bag of holding.
He decided to identify the other rings and amulets later, for some of them have charges and can only be activated a certain number of times.
*After Tassatuls Potion*
Kaluth to Tassatul- "Now...we head for the High Mage Council. The journey will be long and tedious, but we must get you there Tassatul, it is nearly time for you to become no longer my apprentice, but a mage."

*Jenneva lugs out the last bag, making her total three bags*
"Uh oh...heh heh, I forgot about carrying this."
*takes the book out of her pack and wraps it in her bandana so the others will take no notice of it*
*loads the gold that won't fit in the two saddlebags into her pack and slings it over her shoulders.* ((She's gonna carry the book in her arms))
*walks over to Kal*
"Um, sir, where are we heading now?" ((she didn't hear Kal talking to Tass and I don't know if there's a version Kal would like for the rest of us))

((Why you wanna hide the book? Kal is an evil old mage, Tass is a necromancer, and nobody else would be interested...and neither tass or I have any need for 'holy spells', cause were not clerics. Only clerics can cast holy spells....dont be over protective))
Kaluth to Jenneva- Gives her a cold look with his ice blue eyes from underneath his hood "Get away from me, you disturb me"
Kaluth rises, his staff suddendly leaps into his right hand. He chants a very fast incantation and poitns the staff towards the ground infront of him. Black mist eminates from the staff and forms a wavering cloud of darkness. Then, a beautiful black horse with a flaming mane and tail leaps from the cloud. It trots towards kaluth, and kaluth speaks to it in a touge that nobody else can understand. The horse then lowers its body, allowing kaluth to simply step up to a sitting postion on its back. Then it rises, and kaluth begins to move his hand through the firery mane without feeling any heat, for the Nightmares' flames only affect those who it chooses.
((hence the new sig...and Cobra or Katt, if you can make this sig look neater (without the white background or something) I'd appreciate it...pm me something if you get it.))

((ooc: oh let her hide the book. Its her part of the story. And you say I'm like "You can't do anything because I am God", sheesh. Besides, it doesn't seem to bother my roleplaying)) *Tanyu's in deep meditation with the spirits. But suddenly he gets a vision and sees Fighter. He seems to be in a different dimension by himself*Fighter: "huh? hey, where am i? Hello? is anyone else here?" ((ooc: I dont know if there are any monsters in that dimension so you tell me)) *But before Tanyu could get any more information, his concentration is broken when Kal summons the Nightmare*Tanyu: (returning to reality)  "woa" (gets up to tell the others) "Hey guys! I just saw Fighter in a vision. I dont know exactly where he is, but i saw him!" (finally noticing the Nightmare; jumping back) "Yowza! What the hell is that?!" (tries to get his heart pumping again) |

I'm ready for magehood? Excellent! I wonder, are there some kinda of tests. . .

Tanyu: (still in a bit of shock from seeing the Nightmare) *gasp* *gasp* "well, it was all hazy and I only saw him and nothing else really. But it was him and he seemed by himself in a different place. I dont know, I'm not a magic user. Visions aren't my specialty. It just 'happened'"

((At the current, I am either:
- Ethereal, but just somewhere very far away. Getting me back to you wouldn't be as hard, but being an extra-planar being would be a bit hairy.
- Planar, but in an Ethereal dimension. Getting me back to you would be no small task, but my body would be fine, assuming it survives the trip.))

*Katt exits the place with just a small bag of items*Katt:there was alot of stuff in there, but i didnt bother taking much, seeing as jenneva has that quite covered . most of it was just stuff that could be pawned off for some money, but the stuff i got... hehehe. i know quite a many people who have been looking for treasures like these ;D *katts bag consists mostly of gemstones and a couple of worthless non-magical jewlry peices that would probably be melted down for the metals they were made out of before they were worn*

*Tass sends his last few straggling summons over the edge of a nearby cliff, eliminating them*
"Well, I guess we can go now" Tass suggests
*The group picks up their stuff and head out. Tanyu takes the lead, sniffing out any danger. Katt and Will follow close behind. After that is Jenneva and her horse. At the back is Kaluth on his Nightmare, along with Tass walking beside him*
Quietly, "Kaluth, how do I become a mage? Are there trials, tests?" says Tass

(Ok, everyone, here is where I've marked the chapters:
Preface- While all of our characters are meeting, up to the point when they all meet eachother.
Chapter 1: Demonic intentions- Our characters move along, and eventually are ambushed by giants, whom aperently belong to a demon. We eventually learn that this demon has infested a town with zombies... and that he has taken a particular likeing to our group.
Chapter 2: Alone in the dark- Our group enters the goblin-infested caverns belonging to the demon. After a trap filled journey through the caves, our group finds the demon himself, and find that he has a personal vendetta with Tanyu. The demon is eventually vanquished, and Will walks away with more then just scars...
Chapter 3: The Soul Saber- Our group walks away from the battle, demon's tresure in hand. They return to the town to kill the remaining zombies, but find that killing the demon has destroyed all of the zombies. When the group is sifting through their tresures, will remembers a small trinket he picked up- the demons sword. And, thanks to Kal's lore of magical items, they find it is by no means a normal magical weapon...
I'm going to start chapter three when Dan answers Tassatul's question. Don't move our group to town yet. Or, dan, if you want to you can.)

((ooc: you guys tend to miss (or forget) a few details after awhile... looks like I'll have to take over. Oh, and do we really have to worry about who's first and who's last? Thats how Fighter got sent into another dimension))
*FIRST, Kal explains to us that his creature that frightened us is a Nightmare the he'll be using to ride. Then we moved out*
Will: "Well... Back to the town I guess. Perhaps now that the demon is dead, dealing with the zombies will be easier."
Tanyu: "hey yea, I hope the survivors are still alright. Kal's barrier should've been able to protect them"
*But then remembering Fighter's plight*
Tanyu: (thinking to himself) "Well thats what you get for being cocky and always walking head first into things you dont understand, hehehe..." () "sigh..."
*but then he remembers he should help him. So, knowing Kal is a high level mage, he goes to make a request while Tass is also talking to him*
Tanyu: "Hey Kal, you know magic stuff. Can't you try to get a channel to Fighter"
Kal: "Hmm? One, question at a time! Now why should i go and waste energy on trying to find Fighter?"
Tanyu: "Well he did help us..."
Kal: "Fine, I'll do it later. I already know no serious harm will come to him"
((ooc: Kal supposed to be an old wise mage isn't he?))
