Ha! Fools! You're all wrong! Muahahhaahha! Nintendo's first home console was not the "Nintendo" (NES) but was a humble little console called the "FamiCom"!!! You all probably never heard of it because Nintendo didn't release it in the US. They didn't because that was during the '83-'84 gaming industry crash in America. It wouldn't have been good business. However, it did ok in asian countries. When i was in the Philippines, my cousins actually had one, but that was before i knew what it was. Heres how it looks: As you can see it kinda looks like the SNES, just cruder. But the controls look like they're from the NES. It just is a perfect example of Nintendo's beginnings in the video game industry. How's that for some quick facts?

I just did a research project on the history of gaming so i know my stuff now, hehehe. (coolest subject to ever research!)
Um, no, the gaming industry started with Atari way back in 1972. Their systems were the ones with the little primitive dot sprites moving around. And thats when Pong came out. The Famicom came out in 1983, and thats during the age of arcades (Pac-Man, Defender, Galaga, Centipede, etc.), so graphics were at least better than little dots moving around. Hey, the original Contra was on it! I was playing it when i was with my cousins back in Philippines.
So there you have it.

But the Game & Watches came out in 1980. That beats the FamiCom by 3 years.

Bughunter, the traditional American NES was a Famicom, on the outside the system and cartridges LOOKED diferent, but on the inside they were exactly the same. They did the same thing with SNES. In japan, it was called the Super famicom. So in short, Famicom and NES are the same thing. They had the exact same graphics and the exact same games. It just looked diferent.
