Sorry dan, but that's stupidly easy. If you've played the game, you'll know it right off. If you havn't played the game, then you'l never every get it in a billion years.

will, shut up.
i love chrono trigger. definatly one of the best rpgs out there. it even compares (in my book anyway) to FF6 or FF7. i definatly recommend it to anyone who hasnt played it. oh, and dont even bother with Chronocross. from what i heard, it doesnt even compare to its predacessor. doenst follow storline or anything. oh well.

Thats not what I heard...I heard its keeps the soryline alive and is what chrono trigger was to the super nintendo -- a super awesome game.
in fact I think I'm going to buy it so I can make my own opinion on it.

I've played it, although not all the way through, and no, it dosen't keep the storyline alive at all and it is very different from the supernintendo games.
None of the original places, characters, story elements... anything, are in there. The only thing that could be considered a reference to the first game is a swordsman named Glenn, which was Frog's real name.

Not really. The whole game is annoying puzzles right after one another. And ther battle system is nowhere as good as the original. They changed everything.

I heard the battle system was improved though...like the dual - moves and stuff are still there.

Blech... they have this charge system. Look, play it for yourself and see. Perhaps you'll like it. But really, don't expect something as good as the original.

Chrono Cross...well now...I actually had that game at one point-
positives: -I thought that the music was excellent -the environments were very well created, nice and lush- perfect for a tropical theme -I liked the story, standing on its own, but as sequel...well ehh...Lavos makes a comeback I believe (I forgot, never finished it), and you also see the old Epoch once more, Lucca also seems to be connected to it-if not a girl with same name and look
negatives: -Made me question if this really was a sequel -The battle system, in my own opinion...iffy...there are combos, but the magic and skill system is rather different and got...well...boring after a while (personal opinion) -Despite being able to travel across dimensions- the world much smaller in comparison with its prequel -Doesn't seem to offer as much
I played this until about three-quarters thorugh its second disc, quite far into the game. But by then, I just lost the interest entirely- it didn't hold me, like Chrono Trigger (which made me want to play for hours on end- 65 total!) did-and as a testament to that very fact; Chrono Cross is also the RPG i've ever actually traded in...its the only RPG I had ever regretted buying in the end...sad really
