that's cool- I felt putting them up and comparing them on my own...but if i'm the only one who does, then so be it i'm not saying you have to put down characters. I put that up because I do pick favorites- there's always one character I will prefer to use in almost every game I play- especially in fighting games. As for RPGs there's always a character that I will keep in the party from the second I recruit/find him or her til' the game is over (the exception being, if another character is in need of training- AND I always keep the hero/heroine at least 10 levels ahead of the others) it's all in the playing style that I personally have.
I just thought it'd be pretty interesting to see other peoples preferred characters
-especially in terms of RPGs and fighters, those have the widest arc- action/adventure and enemies I put down for fun

I do the same thing too. But i dont feel like selflessly promoting them as the only things in the world that matters. Besides, i dont feel like it. *yawn* Maybe if you caught me on a sugar high

a lot of your characters i've only seen through pics and heard of through game info...
and I completely forgot: Aura! (my tactics ninja girl)
and Amarant (FF IX)
Jet from WA III- I really liked his design...and his persona, but I didn't put him down on the count that I have yet to play or buy the game...
and Tales of Phantasia...I have the sequel, Tales of Destiny- unfortunately, I haven't played it enough to find a character I can really like- but the advocate is Leon- young swordsman who seems calm...but can turn into raging firecracker when lit...
Harvest Moon...another one that slipped my mind...the Farm Boy is cool!
-yes, Chip and Dale count! they're in a game no? and they just happen to be cool nonetheless

How about Fenix, Raynor, Artanis, Tassadar, Zeratul? Go StarCraft! Master-Chief, Wirt, Griswold, Adria.
Only video game characters? If i could include books, some very cool people wouldbe included. Muad'dib, Bashar Teg, Martin the Warrior, Lazarus Long, Duncan Idaho (definantly my favorite character all time, Duncan rocks!)

To me, this is the equivalence of watching little girls drool over pretty shoes. Oooh Aaaahh, omigod.
But I do like these characters though. I just dont feel like going ooh, aah, omigod, right now. Maybe next week. But what do you guys care. Carry on.

hm...yes it is...oh well. So lets see -- One of my favorite characters of all time is Dante from Devil May Cry 1 (one). That guy is SO cool. That game (will just let me borrow it for the first time) has to be one of my favorite games EVER EVER EVER. I dont know why I never picked up on it before -- its just SO good!!!! After I beat this one I might get the second one (although I heard it was way crappy compared to the first one, I want to make my own review). MAN that game is a huge hack-and-slash tons-o-badguys makin a game out of fight-sequences-as-cool-as-anime-fight-sequences kick-ass awesome stuff. Hoo ok then.  I think I've found a new favorite game. |

Same here. AND this one is free. Firstly, if you play crimsonland, you have to download this. Its like crimson land with 'levels'. And its also more dificult. Like... sadistic is an understatement. A big one. In fact, the name of the game is... Abuse. Its an old DOS game by a little known (and short lived) company called Crack Dot Com. Note that this company was created before the internet, and dotcoms, were popular at all. I'm not sure if its Pre or Post doom era... but its awwesome. This game has some crappy stupid pointless storyline... something about a prison and some contagious gene or something. Its meaningless and has no relation to the game. In this game, like crimsonland, you battle wave after wave of enemies, using big guns. This game, however, is from the side, not from above. The game is also insanly dificult. It is difficult to find the original game, but FrAbs (Free Abuse), a fan-upgraded version, is availible for free. You can download it here: www.cs.uidaho.edu/~cass0664/fRaBs/In this one, when you hit 'new game' instead of starting a new game, it drops you in a 'world selector' type thing. You can battle some enemies here, and go to diferent campaigns, but I suggest you ignore all of that and go straight left, and take the teleportal there- it starts the first campaign, which has a built-in toturial. And to top it all off, your character looks really cool. Plus, ita got network multiplayer, so we could all play it online together ;D Here are some screen shots if you think you might be interested.
