Will i don't believe you updated you paper working yet this year. Which means your on the bottom of the list, sorry.
I had fun as well, this time i did not set up any of those chairs or anything. Most of the time i was tracking down blood donors, trays for bagels, and destroying signs that were around the school. ;D ;D

Pixie, you are quite the enigma . I didn't even know you were part of the whole blood donation thing. And those chairs were weird lookin'. Looked like something out of an alien research station, especially with them all in a circle facing each other . And i didn't really quite get how you got my red appointment slip even though you said something. And what paper work does Will have? Oh i get it, he dont get no blood, lol And you guys should have seen how big those needles were, they were as big as this --> O !!! well, maybe this big --> o

well apparently -- only about 10 people donated sucsussfully, everybody else had to stop before the bag was full. MORE than one teacher passed out during the drawing, and apparently some other kid had a bubble of air injected into him during the extraction of blood (which is potentially murder...).
all in all, the people extracitng blood were not very good at doing it.
Francis, your arm shouldnt have been dead like it was. Something went wrong...
They were taking ONE PINT of blood, which is way more than they usually take. My Calculus teacher told us that she would love to give blood but one pint is WAY too much for her, so she didnt....I wonder if everybody else knew how much blood they were taking?

Woah. Our school must rock, or something. We usually get about 100+ kids to donate, and usually they take a pint from everyone. We have all kinds of regulations tho. You have to wiegh more then 110 pounds, and must be 17 or older. Unfortunantly for me, im only 16. . . but I weight about 180 now, so i doubt that it wouldve killed me to take blood. But i guess rules are rules. . .

I wish I could have given blood, but I've had a piercing within the last year, so I probably won't be able to till next April.

Hah, I donated successfully and with flying colors (of red)! Not bad for a first timer. Other than that really sharp pinch of the needle the whole time, i didn't have any other problems. My blood flowed superbly ;D. Filled the bag in like 5-10 minutes, none stop, I wasn't no wussy donator . I didn't get knocked out or get light headed or any crap like that. I am the blood donating king!!! ;D It wasn't quote on quote "dead" like you said. Almost maybe, a bit stiff, but I just said i couldn't use much. And what do you mean something went WRONG. You see me, I'm still alive. My donation went smoothly. My arm was just out of commission for a bit. I mean, come on, I had a freakin needle shoved into my arm, duh! I'd like to see you take it and see if you could wave it about freely afterwards. Puh! My arm's condition is understandable. You make it sound as if these people were completely untrained and were using rusty, unsterile equipment. You just wanna diss the people trying to do the right thing and make yourself feel better for not participating. But dan, why you gotta be so negative? You shouldn't even talk considering i didn't see you anywhere giving blood. And i know you had your reasons for not giving (you were at a AP test right ), but for anyone to say that they just dont care is the most bullshittiest and offensive thing to say (not pointing at anyone, that is unless that is what you guys were thinking *squinted eyes*) ! Oh wait i forgot, its good that you didn't give blood. We shouldn't mix Dan's inferior blood with the populous, hehehe ;D j/k Dude, ONE PINT is what they normally take. Here, check this link to see what American Association of Blood Banks says: www.aabb.org/All_About_Blood/Donating_Blood/donate.htm (if it dont work, then just copy and paste it to your address bar...) Everyone who donated gave one pint. And differen't people i guess react differently to giving blood. Mrs. Dicosmo saying its way too much for her is just that, its way too much for HER. See me, i could take it ;D. And they did announce how much they were taking before hand. But man, you guys should have given blood. Am i the only one that cares? Maybe thats why there were only 10 successful donations (that is if Dan's story is true, but i'll wait until I hear it from a more qualified source). It shouldn't be such a suprise if you take into account the number of people who didnt jump on the bandwagon. There were only so many that did. Oh yea, and Tass, those are exactly the same regulations we have to follow. Thats why i didn't donate in the beginning of the year... You dont really think they'd let anyone just walk in and give blood now do you? sorry, i just wanted to play advocate of the good side for a min, hehe.

Actually, I asked Dan why he didn't donate. It has something to do with his eye disease (is it a disease? sorry if that's the wrong word). Anyway, it's something along those lines that he doesn't want to transmit to anyone else.
And I did really care, Francis. I tried to donate last year, but my iron (i think it was iron) level wasn't high enough. The reason I couldn't donate this year was because of my past piercings (they say hepatitis can show up up to at least a year afterwards).

You couldn't donate last year because you were a vegiterian then. I remember- 'cuase when I heard that I didn't let you hear the end of it for weeks.

If anything that ought to have helped. It was because I hadn't eaten enough leafy green veggies the night before.
