I'm not totally naive.

Hey matt, I have a favor to ask of you, and I'm being serious when I ask --
I need a truck for 5 months, starting from April to and ending at the beginning of september. I either want to buy it for 500 dollars (or around that, yeah a cheap one that will last 5 months is all I need) or to rent one out for 100 bucks a month. If you know anybody with a pickup truck (or other kind of truck) that would be wlling to do either of these things, please let me know.
I'll pm you this message as well, just incase you dont read this thread.

well "truck" and "honda" are pretty broad...celica is a little more narrowed down...

Why do you need to rent a car for that time period? Is buying a car off of Ebay a smart thing to do? I'm in the market (again) and I'm not too particular about what the vehicle is. Are those cars (online) cheaper, but less trustworthy, or cheap and okay?

nope no shipping unless you get it from another country.
On e-bay, they are honest people who want to sell their cars. You can even buy cars from dealerships who think they will get more from an auction then by listing it.
The only downside is that you have to go get it.
My friend got a car from somebody in south carolina (and he loves it). He got a bunch of friends to go on a road trip with him to get it, and then raced them back home with it. (sounds like great fun to me!)
