Answering Tassatul- I don't like having so many diferent kinds of aliens. I like it better like starcraft: Three or Four races. It lets you get mroe familier with the races, learning what they're like, getting a real feel with them. Plus, I agree there are probably races out there, but I doubt there are many.

Like this: The zerg are evil, world conquering, infestatious bug-like creatures that travel from worl to world, infesting anything worthy of infestation and destroying anything not. The Protoss are Psychic, quasi-religious race, who're honerable and follow tradition well. They are caste seperated: The Templar, rightous warriors, The Judicator, the politicians, and the Khalai, the workers.

But in star wars, what's a Ithorian? A Rodian? A Sullustan? A Twi'Lek?

I don't know about most of those, but a Twi'lek is a creature with two brain stems, like the dancing girl and the personal servant in Return of the Jedi.

Here's some info I dug up on the others:

Ithorians are commonly called "Hammerheads" throughout the galaxy because of their most prominent feature: a long, curving neck ending in a t-shaped dome of a head. These tall, gentle herbivores hail from the planet Ithor.

The Rodians of planet Rodia are a species of green-skinned humanoids found throughout the galaxy. They have large, black eyes, tapir-like snouts, long flexible fingers terminating in suction cups, twin saucer-like sensory organs atop their heads, and a ridge of spines cresting their skulls. Rodians can be found among the Core World elite -- like Senator Onaconda Farr or Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's aide, Dar Wac -- to the lowest of the Outer Rim fringe -- like the bounty hunter Greedo.

Sullustans are jowled, mouse-eared humanoids with large, round eyes. They hail from the planet Sullust, a world allied with the Rebellion during the Galactic Civil War.

Few things are as graceful as a female Twi'lek in motion. This beautiful image has forever doomed generations of young Twi'leks into servitude, as the wealthy and corrupt have taken to brandishing Twi'leks as badges of prestige.

Twi'leks are tall, thin humanoids with skin pigment that spans a rainbow of colors. Their most distinctive feature is a pair of shapely prehensile tentacles that grow from the base of their skulls.

In the waning years of the Republic, the Twi'lek homeworld of Ryloth was represented in the Galactic Senate by the corpulent blue-skinned politician Orn Free Taa. Even a politician of high office was not above flaunting a pair of lovely Twi'lek aides as a sign of influence and wealth.

why can't you just enjoy star wars for the great movie it is and not be concerned with all the different kinds of aliens.

I do enjoy starwars as a great movie, I just don't like the universe that much, that's all.

And heather, the very fact that there are aliens that you can't recall by memory prooves my point exactly.

Ithorian is a big dude with flat head that curve back around. Rodian is kinda bug-like. Sullustan stumps me. Twi'lek has the dual brain stems like Palla said.

But i see your point. I can describe em, but cant tell you about culture and such.

i'd like to take this time to say that i just watched the movie trailer for THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD, and i must say it looks pretty good.

Video games made in to movies usually suck, untill resident evil. Like that live action mario movie... ugh... what was up with that?

Well, I hope more games follow in resident evil's footsteps.

My question is this: If you could see a video game turned in to a movie, what video game would it be?

I would say that Metal Gear Solid would make a good movie. Number 1, not number 2. Armored Core would make a really cool anime, but maybe not a movie. A mechwarrior movie would be neat. You don't see too many giant robots outside of japan.

jeepers creepers 2? lol, that should be great. i was actully scared for the first time after i feel asleep and my freind tara woke me up by whistling the jeepers creepers song

jeepers creepers was crap, maybe a little scary but crap none the less, and the 2nd one looks worse.

oh, if you couldnt tell, i was being sarcastic. that movie was so unrealistic, the effects were horrible, and the all around bad idea. the only think that creeped me out was the little song he whistled.
