What I'm saying is that saying this is better than that and then promoting it so zealously and keeping a closed mind is a terrible way to start senseless conflicts. Not that history can relate...

Those books-on-tape are really slow, but they come in handy when you're driving and can't read. At least, that's how I see it. Personally, I do much prefer to read. I don't know, I guess I just have for so long I love it. ;D

 why would you listen to book tapes while driving? You're gonna get killed doing that. Or at the very least, you wont remember what the tape said cus you are (and are suppost to be) paying attention to the road

Uh...no? If you say that about books-on-tape, then why not abou the radio and the music? They could be equally distracting? I happen to be a good driver and am fully capable of driving while listening to a book-tape. While I will agree that there are some people who shouldn't do this, I don't see why I can't.

No no- Radios, music, and the such are not as much of a distraction. Books involve thinking and playing on your emotions. There is a diference.
Infact, they say that 95% of people actually drive BETTER with backround music... and I'm not making that up or anything. As to why, though, I could only guess.

I went and saw "Underworld" this afternoon. Even if none of you would like to see a vamp/lycan movie, you might still like this movie for the storyline (excluding the species of the characters) and definitely the special effects. The creators must have put a lot of work into this, because the changing between human and werewolf was detailed to a good point. Of course, something I realized that I thought was a little odd was that they almost never (except once) saw a vampire feeding. |
