Hey, yesterday i just watched League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and it kicks ass! Way much better than the Hulk!!! I highly recommend this movie amigos! Now this movie is a great example of having a team of individuals with unique traits and abilities working together. We should learn from this example for our rpg's

Hey, yesterday i just watched League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and it kicks ass! Way much better than the Hulk!!! I highly recommend this movie amigos! Now this movie is a great example of having a team of individuals with unique traits and abilities working together. We should learn from this example for our rpg's I read an article about this movie a few months ago and thought it looked really awesome. I have a few questons, though. Who does Sean Connery play? I understand everyone else (Invisible Man, Mina Harker,Jekyl & Hyde, Dorian Grey, & Captain Nemo), but Connery doesn't seem to have a set "personality". I'm going to go see it in the next week, so I'll report back later. ;D

Sean Connery plays a retired hunter, i think. Um...I forgot his character's name but he's like the standard adventurer who really knows how to handle a rifle. Never heard of the character before though...
Thats what i really liked about the movie, it has the characters from all these stories and legends and puts them all together and you get to watch them kick ass together to great affect ;D
[glow=red,5,300]*SPOILER ALERT*[/glow] I'll answer your questions and explain a bit of the movie. But I really would suggest that you watch the movie instead. I'm gonna be writing stuff on the movie that might deter some of the experience of "discovering it while watching". So fair warning. Dont read the rest of this post unless you have to.
The car is there because of Captain Nemo. Cpt Nemo provides all the technology for the group. And Sean Connery didn't know how to drive the car. By the way, the Nautilous looks great in the movie. Oh, and you have to watch Nemo fight! He kicks ass!
The Invisible man in the movie isn't the original invisible man from the original story because that guy who was a scientist died in that story. This one is a thief and he stole the formula.
There's an immortal in this movie. And after speaking with my mom, he apparently comes from an old story which turned into a movie a loooooonnnng time ago. And there's something about a painting in his story. So if you dont understand it in the beginning its understandable.
Oh and Tom Sawyer is also there
The part of the movie that was per say weird or bad I'd have to say was the last 30 seconds of the movie. But I'm gonna leave that to the people who watch it.

still sounds like crap to me, no way they could have had cars back then, i don't care who you are and what technology you can provide,
i just saw sinbad and pirates of the carribean, sinbad is a major kids movie and the pirates of the carribean is ok, just not my thing though.

I heard Pirates of the Caribbean went to #1 in the box office. Did you see it already, Matt?
Hey Matt, they had cars back in the stone age, hehehe. You know, foot powered ones ;D

I finally saw the movie. It was great! Bug Hunter, Dorian Gray was this guy who was immortal and instead of ageing himself, there was a painting that aged each year. If he ever saw the painting, he would age and probably die, which he did. Damn. What made me mad is that they messed up Mina. She was never really a vampire and though she was in this movie, they put her out in full day light. The Dracula vampires would have burned up. Damn movie people. I want to read these books now. ;D
