heh, what did you have to edit on that short post, Ford? But anyway, i just took a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art down in New York City today. Good stuff. I tell you one thing, down in the arms & armor gallery, they take there guns and weapons seriously, ack . lol. And nothing like staring at hundreds of paintings and sculptures of naked women for a couple of hours Then after the museum closed, there was a group of black guys doing fancy acrobatic and dance stunts in the front steps. Clever thinking if you ask me, they had a full audience right then and there. You should have seen some of the stuff they did, like one guy spun another guy on his head. Then they got a bunch of chicks as volunteers, but i left before i got to see what they did to their victims, lol.

I've always wanted to go to that museum. I've been to the History one, but no one wants to go to the art one. Whoa, where have I said that before? Didn't Cass say she wanted to go?

Wow, you guys haven't been to the Metropolitan? Even if "art" art isn't your thing, their Medieval gallery with weapons and armor should be of interest. You have to see some of the armor they got, some look really brutal. And the weapons, hoo man the weapons! These rifles they have on display, holy crap. They even had a sword that had a six-barrelled pistol attached. I'm not talking where the blade is attached to the gun, the GUN is attached to the blade! Brutal, brutal stuff.
They also have an Asian art gallery which i really liked (and no, there isn't any anime. I'm talkin about the first real art masters of japan and china). Bet you can't guess why I liked it, lol.
Then there's the Egyptian gallery, Modern-art gallery, European gallery, and all that good stuff. A lot of the masters from all around the world's works are there. There were also a lot of fashion students making sketches down in the Roman Goddess dresses gallery (partly because photography isn't allowed in the galleries). There was also a painter who was painting a copy of a picture while we were there. Ah, good stuff.

Wow, I am jealous. ;D I want to go, but like I said, there is no one that will take me into the city. My parents work all of the time. I'd like to see the Asian and Egyptian collections. Heck, maybe I should bring my sketchbook. Nah, I'm not that good. Which item was your favorite, Bug Hunter?

Are you crazy, how can i pick a favorite amogst the thousands of pieces in the museum? Even choosing a favorite gallery is tough. However, I am leaning towards the Asian gallery and the Medieval Arms & Armor gallery and the gallery that had all the paintings of the European masters. You know, there's even a gallery for musical instruments. There's even more oddities there as well, lol. The Egyptian gallery is like a large history lesson. All the stuff are like from archeological digs and stuff. You know, hiroglyphs, sarcophoguss's, jewelry, etc., etc. Not that its bad or anything. Plus i think that area had the best airconditioning, lol.

Egypt always fascinated me. Was there much on Cleopatra?

Well even though that area is like a history lesson, the place is still an art museum, not a history museum. I hope that answers your question
