no apology necessary, but nevertheless...yes, the game in itself is still in the "very vague" stages even to me...so it won't be starting for some time...any help is greatly appreciated.

To let you know, that traditionally the "Intro Peice" is the opener for the storyline, and the first official post in the actual RPG. The entire RPG is often discussed about and created before the actual intro is created...
...but that is just the trend, not a rule, so whatever is fine.

*hippy voice* "Stop it with your rules and regulations man. I dont want to live in a world filled with cold suit stiffs like you and your little box. I will not accept your box! I'm gonna come out of this box and live out here man! and...and... maybe come back tomorrow...cus theres probably nothing to do out here..."

once I work out the kinks in the story:ie-aliens, exact settings, destinations, etc., you'll hear from me once more- and, as I have said...any ideas anyone would like to contribute that might help would be nice...

We should steal an alien spaceship, and it becomes our home-headquarters. If there are 5 of us, it should be a five man ship.
It would be cool to have a ship that acts as our base of operations... and it's everything we need.

Ok folks...after a lot of thinking and research, here is a sketch of the world of “Children of the Void”- the basic scenario (still very open to change) ...In a future where man has finally reached beyond the scope of their home galaxy, the Milky Way. People have intermingled with the many forms of intelligent life in the deeper reaches of that quadrant of the universe. But...that was to change very dramatically...in an attempt by humans to harness the power of the super-massive-black hole at the center of the Milky Way...the reaction was an apocalyptic explosion. The disaster swallowed the entirety of the galaxy (the solar system was just not far enough out) save those outer edges of the spiral which managed to barely escape the range of the explosion. The death toll reached a number beyond anyone’s reckoning, human and alien alike. For this terrible disaster the Interuniversal Guardian Corps., blinded by rage, decided that for the better of the known universe...all humans must be captured and eliminated.
some of the basic locations (still very open to change) the Great Abyss- this encompasses the area of the Milky Way that was destroyed, a black void (not black hole, that didn’t survive) with absolutely nothing remaining. At the very center, the Abyss somehow still has a powerful gravitational pull.
the Abyssal Ring- this includes the outer edges of the Milky Way which were just barely out of range of the explosion, few stars remain-just basic gases. It is held in place by the gravitational pull which remains at the center.
Worm Tubes- special transport tubes which have managed to overcome the limitation of the speed of light...allowing travel between galaxies to take all of a week at the most.
Interuniversal Guardian Corps.- the United Nations of the future, only it now encompasses the entirety Quadrant 1 of the universe.-comprised of representatives from each galaxy (that is under it) within the quadrant.
the Universal Quadrants- this is the basic division of the universe, there are four- the Milky Way is within the first.
the Havens- there are places where humans have gone to hide these are Havens- usually found in large hollowed out asteroids or extremely small planets.
more to come, and remember, these are open to change

I know your still working, but I have to ask. Do you have something ready for our actual storyline? The first thing that came to my mind was, humans retaliate and kick some ass in a big war. But this is very similar to Bugs Itch, so probably something different. Im just shooting out ideas, feel free to call me dumb ;D

I want to be... like... fugitives. That would be cool ;D On the run... using tricks and brains to sruvive... getting what we need through "Connections" instead of publically...

that...to put it bluntly, was my original idea...but then it seemed to me, it would be too much like RE-although, if everyone wants to go that way, I believed that was the best scenario to convey the atmosphere of this game-(my apologies to Tass, the feeling I was trying to put through the game just wouldn't have worked with a war scenario)

well, uh, what is your opinion on a desperate survival scenario- i'm thinkin' that eventually the heroes gather together on one of the havens and manage to get their hands on one special spacecraft and begin the real journey from there...

The only thing I think might be a problem is: if we start out separate, then try to come together, that might not work because in the past there's been some difficulty with that in other RPGs. I'm pretty sure you want to start out together, but in case you didn't, there's my two cents about it.
