I don't like most of the books (Actualy, there were only one or two books I ever saw on the list that ever even sparked my interest), in fact I particularly hate most of them.
Then again, they don't put much Sci-fi in there. Dune was on there once, though, that was cool.
Right now, I'm absorbed in the battletech/mechwarrior series of books. Unlike most other books, that have four or five books in the series, this has like, twenty or more, by many diferent authors.

I have not read either one of those. What didn't you like about kiddnapped prince? I thought it was a very difficult book to get through. Truthfully, I didn't even finish it. I don't remember much of it, but the way the author wrote the story...it just did not hold my attention for very long.

It was like that for me with Lord of the Rings. Theres a diference between "Thurough" and "Too mcuh information".

I didn't like LotR either. I was lucky to even start The Hobbit, which was almost as bad.

There was stuff there we didn't need to know.
I mean, I make WAYYYYY more information then need be for my universes. Soul Saber for example. But I don't go in depth about it. Sometimes I make references to information not explained, but I don't explain it unless its directly relevent.

Then again, they don't put much Sci-fi in there. Dune was on there once, though, that was cool. w00t ;D We dont get summer reading lists, but we never read anything good. Only, "the great world literature" which mostly consists of shakespeare, steinbeck, and greek guys. Ugh. The only thing that gets close to good is the Ray Bradbury stuff, like Fahrenheit 451.

There are, in my opinion, almost never any good books on the reading list. I think at one point there might have been "The Mists of Avalon" which, although long, was really good. The only book I can honestly say that I've read from the summer list is "Speak".

I don't think I ever really paid attention to the book, but the movie wasn't half bad.

Couple of days? Ah, okay. But, if you'd really been interested, how long do you think it would've taken?
