Personally...I think all the books on the summer reading list are great. They are chosen for a reason you know...and the mere fact that they made it on the list means a lot. It is true that it might not be YOUR style of reading, but they are all truly great books.
The only bad one I've ever read (this was before the list itself was given to us, and they just said 'read that') was...ugh I forget the exact name...but it was about all the presidents, summer reading from 8th to 9th grade...that was truly crap....OH yeah Profiles in Courage! That was it...that was crap...

Eh, I probably get through books faster than most, but I miss a lot of stuff, which is why I have to read it a second time sometimes.

It is impossible to read a book and then have to re-read it if you REALLY read it in the first place...honelsty now...that absurd...I mean...come on...what the hell?
Why would you waste your time looking at the words on a page and not reading them, when you know that if you dont read them, you'll have to acctually read it later...
serioulsy...

If the story seems to be truly interesting, then I'll read the thing period to period, but if it is really boring, then I'll more or less skim because I want to know the ending. Of course, I don't do this with -every- book.

I think thats absurd...sorry but it truly is...you say you read a lot and you read faster than all of us, but in reality you can 'skim' quickly...ugh...

Woa, did i enter the Twilight Zone again? Cuz I'm actually agreeing with what Dan is saying (@_@)...? Holy s### And yea, that damn Profiles in Courage is one the worst books I have ever tried to read! I mean like crap, the experience was equivalent to me forcing myself to read my Calculus book! But other than that, i try to stay positive about everything else. And you're either reading it or you're not, there is no inbetween. Well there is skimming... but thats a bulls### excuse, no offense.
