I forget the name but he comes from FFTactics: Advanced. He's the evil encarnation of that kid who's the prince. He also sucks when fighting against him... you never get to defeat him until he end since he's protected by unfair laws...

Thats becuase, when FFT came out, square didn't suck...
BTW, did you know they're getting rid of turn based? Yeah. FFXIII is going to have one of those horable real-time hybrids....
They hate us. I know they do. Deep down inside... they are taking everything that made final fantasy good and getting rid of it. Storylines (They will be focusing on adolescent relationships and sex appeal... they admited it, I'm not just guessing...), cool characters (Whiney girly-boys will repeated fall in love with girls that have some kind of big responsability...) Even the people... Nobuo Uematsu... that artist dude (Amano?)...
Arg... somebody put us back on topic...

so much anger... You have to understand that FFT and FFTA were designed with different gameplay in mind considering FFTA is a portable game, so they had to make it so that you can do whatever you want without the storyline getting in the way at all. They also made it much simpler to understand. And if you really want somebody to get ya'll back on topic, I'll just get the Spamminator out here and....

Yeah, but why did they have to totally chnage the universe, though? Couldn't they have just kept Ivalice the same and made a less complex story? The world's all different... like deer people? Whats up with that?

Hey hey, I was just pointing out all the stuff I hate about it.
They shouldn't have said that the game was even related to Tatics.
But, other then them ruining the universe of Ivalice, The game itself, what really matters, is great. I love the tatcal aspects of... well, anything tactical, and the classes are great- they have a lot of classes which I said to myself, while playing tatacis, "I wish they had so-and-so class..." Even if the storyline is sub-par, and the universe crushes everything I loved about FFT, the gameplay is superb.

Just consider it a different universe, is that so hard? Holy cow... you'll never be satisfied if u're only looking for what you want.

FFT. Was Awesome. Ivalice was excellent. I liked the entire class system, especially archers and lancers. Archers had a extreme tactial advantage- that is, range. Lancers had the tactical advantage of jumping and spearing, also ranged. This meant I could do a hit and run attack.

Ramza. Samurai/Ninja with "Jump". No words are nessicery.
And man, my archers all sucked. All of them. So I just gave up and made them into other classes. Lancers, on the other hand... We're one of my favorite classes in the game, bot in combat and in looks.

i thought the male summoners were pretty cool (go diaz!) and i loved how they incorporated all of the original styles of the classes. like the color mages and the monks (kinda) and the lancers (dragoons)
some of the names were all pretty silly though... like who would name their kid Zalbag? lol, theother thing that was tatlly superfluous was the calculator class... granted, they could be handy if they were high level and you knew how to use them...but why bother? lol. i mean, they didnt even look cool... and they could attack with rugs!

Yea, as I'm playing FFT, i'm finding the archers and mages are very powerful if they're strong enough. In FFA those two classes seemed weaker but they were much easier to use. Like, i really had to get used to the fact that archers are almost useless in FFT if they're in low height (there like no difference in FFTA), and that mages dont automatically have a four square target area all the time when aiming their spells like in FFTA. Quite a bit of differences that i had to get used to since i played FFTA first and thats an easier game to play. Like a big one is that if characters fall in battle and die in FFT, they disappear forever! They took that away in FFTA. Definitely makes me care more if my men have fallen in battle. Almost completely changes the strategic mentally. They weren't kidding when they ranked FFT as one of the hardest games to beat, ack
