Soul Saber: Act II

Chapter 4: Revolutions

*The group one by ine steps out of the portal. Everyone stares at Fighter, or holds their ears, as he screams, seemingly for no reason. Eventually people start trying to talk to him... but he just screams louder. So jeneva hits him in the back of his head out of frustration. People start talking and asking what was wrong... but faintly you hear Will say "Wow..."*

*Most everyone turns to face him, and then also stop and gaze in amazment. The city is massive... in the center of the city, spires and towers reach seemingly to the sky... so tall that half the city and surounding countryside are in their shadows. Winged, magical creatures of all forms fly through the skys, weaving their way inbetween the towers like bees in a hive. The city underneath the spires sprawls for miles. Beyond the city lies countrysides, full of fields and smaller devolpments around the city.*

*But it shows that there is a revolution going on. Two large plumes of smoke rise from the city, and you can see patches of the city in smoldering ruins, either from a large battle, or from a massive magical discharge.*

"W...wow... it's like... almost as big as Greenhaven..."

Katt: well, i never though id see big buildings like this in the east... but the building here are alot prettier. and we sure dont have any... whatever those things are up there flying around. but what do you think happened over there?
*she points to the smoke*

[palla]

*Jenneva stares at the city, her mouth hanging open*

"By..all..the..gods..it's amazing!"

[Tassatul]

*Tass stands for a moment, gawking. Then he pull shimself together and asks:*

"Well, where to now?"

[palla]

*follows the direction of Katt's pointing finger and sees the smoke as well*

"Do you think we should go and check that out? What if it's a fire? On the other hand, it could be a mage practicing a smoke screen spell or something like that. You just never know in Pyralis, do you?"

[Cobra5]

"I... would assume ity has something to do with the ragin civil war..." Will says, as if half the group is brain-dead.

[Tassatul]

A smoke screen spell?[i/]

"Well, I think we can all handle ourselves. Lets go check it out"

[palla]

*glares at Will*

"You're asking for it, aren't ya?"

*looks over at Tass*

((Tass, what I meant was a shielding spell with smoke. ))

*leaps into her saddle and starts troting toward the town.*

"Hey, do you guys think we should make it clear that we're mages or what? I mean, which group do you think we'll run into first?"

[BugHunter]

((ooc: Oh good, you guys created the new thread))

[rewind]

*Tanyu landed flat on his face on re-entry when he went through the portal, so now he's on the floor*

Tanyu: "Waaahhh!!! Ooof..."

*After checking out the city*

Tanyu: "Oooh, pretty place..." *hic* "I need a drink... Oh no!!! My jug broke!!! *sob* And that was some good stuff too... *hic*" (sulking)

[/rewind]

*Seeing the others walk away*

Tanyu: "Hey, wait for me!"

[palla]

*notices Tanyu, drop dead drunk, stumbilng after the group*

*mutters* "You must be kidding me."

*rides back and dismounts. Will helps her push Tanyu up into a sitting position behind the saddle. Jenneva remounts and rides carefully after the others, making sure Tanyu doesn't fall.*

"You know, we could get places a lot faster if you didn't drink all the time. Here." *hands Tanyu a pouch of water* "Drink this; it'll help."

[BugHunter]

((ooc: You know, your characters have only encountered Tanyu with a hang over once. You never saw him drunk before. This is the first time you've ever seen him drunk, so how would your characters know he drinks all the time?

I was thinking that he would be able to handle himself. But hey, if you really dont mind him riding your horse, hehehe, works for him ;D))

Tanyu: (after getting on the horse; still drunk with red nose) "Oh... why thank you..." *hic* "Well if its no difference to you... i guess i can ride..."

[palla]

((She saw you in the bar, and she can tell, by the way you are acting, that you've been drunk before. It isn't that hard to tell.))

*glances over her shoulder*

"Don't you dare throw up on me, or I'll throw you off this horse like a bag of wet cement."

*Tanyu hiccups, spilling water down the back of Jenneva's shirt and pants.*

*cringe*

"Must...be...kind..."

[BugHunter]

((ooc: um... Heather, i dont like how u're portraying Tanyu. He doesn't turn into a sloppy slob when he gets drunk. He turns into an even more care free kind of guy. He isn't about to throw up.... ))

Tanyu: "What are you talkin about little girl, I'm not about to throw up" ;D *hic*

[Tassatul]

((we're babbling again. . ..))

*The group makes their way toward the smoke. Along the way, they see more signs of revolution. Buildings are blown apart, with rubble lieing in the street. Some people can be seen, putting out small fires near their homes. A group of rogish looking men walk by*

Revolutionary1:"Heh, we'll show those magi what were made of"

Rev2:"Arent you worried? They are intensly powerful"

Rev3 looks around:"We are many and they are very few. We'll overwhelm them with numbers. I'd give my life to take out a mage"

*The Revolutionaries move on down the road. Aparently the people are near fanatical about removing the magi from their land. Tass attempts to looks less mage-like*

[palla]

*glances at the revolutionaries, then back at Tass.*

*whisper* "I think we have a problem..."

((Tanyu didn't throw up or anything. She was just telling you that you better not.))
