((Here are the last known locations of the characters-
Cobra- Lost, looking for heroes (Psychic half) Cobra- Serving Kal (infested half) Bughunter- With the Heroes on Time's Fabric Sirus- Missing, looking for new work Okiamiamiugi- With the Heroes on Time's Fabric Kal- Primary Bug Hive in the Draconis Secotor Tassatul- The infected Tesseract, commanding Bugs in the Draconis Sector
What remains of the Newbie Army has rejoined the heroes. The Interstellar Military Police (IMP) have become involved due to reports of missing people and attacks on freigters, although they arn't expecting an all-out war (yet). The bugs have bred a strong army of bugs, both spaceborne and standard, although they have few Infected soldiers (the draconis sector is not heavily populated)
Future plans: Well, we can take it from wherever we want, I guess. Let's just keep it going. The Bugs have a sizeable army now, so the battles should be mroe frequient, but the heroes are pretty short on forces (all they have is the few Newbies and the soldiers on the Fabric). The heroes don't know exactly where Kal is, unfortunatly.
This takes place about a month after we last left off, I'd guess. Right after all the stories we are/were writing end.))
*Cobra looked at the scanner blankly. There where only long range contacts... and those were bugs. The rest was empty. He couldn't find anyone. Ever since he was stranded down on that backwater colony by his infested twin, things have gone wrong. He was lucky enough to be 'rescued' by a IMP ship (Actually... he stole it), but that was only the first step. Now he had to find his allies... and that wasn't going so well. The whole system was infested no, so there's nowhere he could go to ask for information. And in his little police craft, all he could do is cruise around and hope he stumbles apon them by accident. The ship was, at least, pretty good in combat against the bugs.*
*Life had been content ever since Cobra found Kal. Even though he had did little to aid his master, working beside Kal and Tassatul was fulfilling, to say the least. The sense of acomplishing his sole goal in life was more then enough to counter-balence the fact he had only been able to do minimal fighting. He had been charged the task of aiding the troops infect the small villages in the sector... a menial task at best. Now that that has been accomplished, he was back at the hive, waiting for his next assignment. He spent his time standing beside Kal as a guard, although the task was merely a symbol of power for Kal. Kal was far more powerful then Cobra would ever dream to be.*

((I decided to change Sho's current disposition- it's all in the info thread for this...all I need is a sector))
somewhere out there... *As it drifted through space, all that could be seen of its form was the outline that emerged as stars seemed to collide. The craft had activated a mirror surface cloaking device which reflected its surroundings to perfection. This was at one point, a ship of legend...a ship that escaped coutless IMP, robbed priceless riches, and was a symbol of transcended freedom. This was the Black Squall...Within; dust had begun to gather on the panels, screws and bolts were drifting about, and in the central hub of the Squall...lay a sleeping captain...But...as he dreamt of his former glory...the holo-panels and control screens all came to life*
a hollow mechanical voice crackled through the hub, "Captain...Captain Sho sir...Cap-urrgh...dammit man, wake up you dolt!!!"

((I made a silly mistake last time around, so the story is: Tristan's dead for one reason or another. If you know who is, good, if not, you don't need to.))
*The past weeks had been troubling. The Bugs were all over the Draconis Sector, not to mention some of the Heroes' number were missing. Never a good thing, but exceptionally troubling in this time.
Now aboard the Time's Fabric again, Okami had resumed her command with ease. The only problem...where was she supposed to lead the crew now?*

*In low orbit above Dracon IX, the Tesseract oversaw the production of a new in-space shipyard. Tassatul watched from the bridge impassively, his awareness makeing rapid-fire observations about the construction crews, their performance, and the overall integrity of the station*
*Since his full re-integration with the Swarm, both of his physical and mental abilities had increased tremendously. Before, he had been an already elite warrior, the finest of the finest in the imperium. Now, he exceded the best. None had bested him, save Kal's new lackey, the infested Cobra. That one could best him two out of three times, and they had sparred often enough to prove it. Before, he had been an excellent military commander. Now, his enhanced awareness could pinpoint things which could only be found by teams of IMP military scholars. It was amazing, and Tassatul used his abilities to their extent, planning and leading battles all over the Draconis sector. Tassatul, the self-styled Prince of the Bugs, was a name that many were beginning to know and fear*

(((The bughunting thread has a slight jump in time -- so the entire of the draconis sector is taken over )))
((Ok -- background first from Kals point of view. Kal pretty much will start off the story line just to get things rolling. What happned previously, for those of you who forgot, is the Tesserect, a massive state-of-the art battle cruiser controlled by Tassatul (a bug-hunting 1 veteran) mysteriously dissapeared. they left behind a trail however of engine electrons that could be followed, and the trail led to the draconis sector. The Tesserect was a very prestigious ship and had media coverage when it arrived at its original destination, and the media alerted the military that something had gone wrong. So, the military arrived, and they sent scouts to see what on earth was going on inside the draconis sector. The scouts did not return -- so they sent some heavier ships within to investigate. When the heavier ships did not return, they sent in a large wave of fighters frigates (smaller than capital ships, bigger than fighters) into the sector, none of which returned. The universal military then began to worry. The loosing of radio contact with that many ships was unheard of, so they sent in the spcial forces. When the special forces (a capital ship and a bunch of frigates) reached the jump-destination, they were suprized to see all of the missing ships emerge from jump status right infront of them. They hailed the ships, but would get no response. The ships were visibally different, they had growth emerging from weak areas in the armor, and from the docking bays. Some people noticed what it was immediately (veterians from the original bug-hunting wars) as infestation growth, originally only found in living organizms. The infested ships opened fire on the massive fleet -- a strange move really because the small force didnt stand a chance agians the capital ship -- but then the tesserect came out of jump, and they knew they didnt stand much of a chance. The ships that did manage to flee the slaughter (and eventual infestation of the non-infested ships) alerted the world of the new bug threat emerging from the draconis sector.
The bugs did not make any more drastic moves after this however, and seemed to retreat to the sector, periodically taking over any ships that happned to be near the area. Cobra (the infested one) is kals right hand man (bodyguard), and Tassatul (a kao-tur) is his high-commanding officer. If there are any questions, please feel free to ask))
:::Kal stands in his throne room, with millions of cockroach sized bugs running about all around. They were not really much, use -- mostly to keep the place clean -- but Kal liked to keep them around...he found the constant water-like flow of the floor almost calming.:::
:::The Universal Map Kal had drawn on the wall was now dark in the Draconis Sector -- even though it was unremarkable and small, it was a start. The small fleet defending the sector was now mostly sucessful because of the fear the bugs created among the masses -- if a universal full scale attack was to be waged against the bugs right now, there would be little hope...but fear is a very powerful ally.:::

((Quick note- 'Fighter frigates', as dan put it, are called Corvettes. The Hunting Star is a Corvette, as is Diemos' ship. The Time's Frabric is a Frigate, though.
So its like this: Pods: Barely big enough to fit a cockpit Fighters: Standard, one man ship Corvettes: usually has about 5-20 crew Frigates: Around 100-500 crew, as well as docked ships Capital ships: about 2000-3000 crew, many docked ships, like an aircraft carrier Super-Capital Class: 5000+ crew))

“Sho...Sho...we’re approaching a system...oh, for heaven’s sake- get up already!” the mechanical voice screamed through the hub.
“Will you shut up before I disconnect your system...good grief,” *the captain awoke from his deep slumber. “Geez...Cygnus, you can’t relax can you? fine, where the hell’d we end up now?” he spoke quite sarcastically...
*After the bantering had calmed, the ship’s AI system- Cygnus, brought up a series of holo-panels that Sho cycled through. Each one showed a map and a set of coordinates, as well as information on the systems planets...The last file brought up, was the one that caught his eye...*
So...we’re in Progeius Prime eh?...hmm...this place sounds familiar-.father spoke of it a few times
“All right then, Cygnus- set destination for Malendrome Station!” he commanded
“You want to go there?!...you’re a pirate! your bounty hasn’t yet expired- you’re heading us into a flytrap!” Cygnus retorted...to which Sho nonchalantly answered, “Yea yea...just go”
“I’m really beginning to question my future...” Cygnus grumbled

:::Sirus sat in the corner of the overcrowded room, Observing the people who ventured near, and keeping his hand on the the trigger of his vest, ready to activate the electric field incase anybody decided to get a little too friendly.
His laptop was open on the table infront of him, and with his free hand he skimmed through the potential contracts that were avalible in the area using the WCS (wireless contract system) that had been established within Malendrome Station over the years. The station was a hive of Bounty Hunter Scum and people who are too cowardly to do jobs themselves, but happen to have the money to hire people to do it for them.
Being a bounty hunter infested area, most of the contracts were for the assasination of some high ranking political or military leader, or perhaps somebody who owed a lot of money, or simply an old school enemy who somebody decides must die. None of the contracts needed a hacker or a techie...this was not the place for Sirus...
He folded the laptop, and decided to wait fo the crowd to subside before venturing back to his ship:::

*After watching the shipyard construction long enough to make an accurate assessment of it's progress, Tassatul made his way to the docking bay for an uneventful trip to the surface, where he was to report to Kalzithlomarikan*
*The shuttle lands. As the back hatch opened, hundreds of small bugs flew and crawled about, searching the air for danger, diseases, poisons, anything that could harm the Swarm. Tassatul walked down the ramp and made his way past the heavily fortified outer defenses. And heavily fortified they were. Originally the base of some unknown sect of mercenaries, the mechanical defenses were already superb. In addition, the infestation had increased security ten fold. Packs of sentinel bugs patrolled the grounds, while flyers scanned the air*
*The inside was more of the same. Floating eyes, some odd mutation created by and psionically linked to Kal, served as biological watch cameras. Tendrils of fleshy mass covered the walls, slowly pulsing life-force through them*
Doubtless the Imperium will find us soon. . . and doubtless they shall be suprized at our wrath
*Tass continued his descent into the base, and eventually past the original structure into vast underground caverns*

Aboard Malendrome Station
"Sir, a ship is approaching. Type is frigate or corvette, class unknown" said the grunt, in its breathy, emotionless voice.
They stared at him.
"Prepare a boarding party. Xaax, mask our signatures." he, the commander bug, said, sickly sweet and echoing.
They got to work with lightning speed, without complaint.

*Sho and his Black Squall, had begun a path to Malendrome Station- still outwardly invisible thanks to the mirror surface generator.*
“Capt. if we move any further we’ll be in visible range of the station- of course...that isn’t to say that we’re not already in radar detection range...How are we to approach?” Cygnus questioned...
“Well- let’s see...keep the mirror suface active...and on my call- put yourself on standby mode”*Sho answered in as simple a way he could*
“And in the meanwhile...what are YOU going to do?”
*Sho chuckled a bit and flashed a cocky grin* “Heh...I think i’ll the ol’ White Squall on a ride- she hasn’t flown in ages...so prep her for launch”

Docking Bay teams, burrow. Flyers, get ready to fight.
"Visible distortions along headings horizontal 270, vertical 172," came that breathy voice of Xaax, his executive officer who had an actual brain.
"Fire missiles, fine on the port bow. Let them do their own locking. That is the unknown ship, correct?"
"Doubtlessly, sir. The radio array detected it on screen. It looks like they have some sort of cloak drive"

(((what the crap is going on? -- is this being discussed anywhere? I stand by what I said, it is a very open rpg, but I suppose I forgot to mention that it has a storyline the is usually discussed before it is acted upon....sorry about not making that clear.....if it were up to me (and its not) I'd say we delete the posts up to tasses post and discuss whats going on in the appropriate thread....but again its not up to me)))

((unusual, yes... but to tell the truth, as long as it gets people posting, I really don't care what happens. This could be a good thing. ;D Be optimistic, people!
How bout this- all players involved- That would prolly be Sirus (dan), Coral, and Sho (deimos) come up with the outcome of this little fight, then just RP together up to that point.
Its a good way Sho and Sirus could meet, and it could get Coral's character into the mix as well.))
