I found what looks to be a Kal-Online spawn from the google ads here. That Xiah thingy. I took a look at the artwork for it, and have come to a decision. I will not be entirely happy with RPGs in general until one is made where all female characters are given super awesome layered outfits/armor to wear, and the guys are the ones who are next to naked and sexed-up. Only then will there truly be justice in the world of games.

I picked up Okami a few days ago, and it's quite fun. The brush techniques are really fun, although my lack of coordination means I need to try like 4 times to get anything involving a circle to work.

Oh, and 300 also, Sarah I'm starting to get more excited about Hellgate London. They announced that the three classes (templar, cabalist, hunter) aren't really classes: they're factions, with at least two classes per faction. The example they had was the two for templar. The blademaster is like a, well, orc blademaster. He does lots of damage. The other class (i can't remember its name) is more like a tank, made to soak up damage. And not to ignore your post Jalathas, but I know nothing about Okami

I remember the unique art style from the ads, and I remember a wolf. That's it.
And I'm glad to hear some good news about Hellgate. I've been ignoring it recently, I had totally lost interest. But that's good news.

First of all, Will, stfu for reals. Second, I really want to see 300 for almost that exact reason. But really history in itself interests me as well so it's not just because of the guys. Also, no to he-man and conan. See, when I say mostly naked and sexed-up, I also mean hot. Just like most half-naked video game chicks are. Those two, really, really not so much. Also, I'm in love with Twilight Princess because it has a lot of puzzle/maze aspects that I love from the Game Boy Zelda games. I never would have guessed that playing the GB games would have helped me to train for Twilight Princess. I am at an advantage! ;D

But. . . it's Arnold! How can you say he's not hot? And Dolph. . . C'mon! Look at the mullet!

and guild wars. My gf's character wears enough armor to melt down and make a small anti-aircraft unit, but my character is wearing an indian-style vest and underwear. i kid you not.

Oh yeah! Guild Wars is good for clothing girls, unless you're an elementalist. Then you've got next to nothing. But my necro girly is fully suited from her chin to her toes, and her armor is the epitome of awesome. Also, the image didn't show.

hehe, my necro wore only her tattoos. Edit: Hey Will, did you ever pick up Supreme Commander? I saw it in Wal-Mart the other day and thought of you

Yes and no. I got the demo, and hacked it to allow any faction on a whole bunch of maps.
But it didn't really work well enough.
And I don't really think it was my computer, I mean, I have a decent system. I can run the C&C3 demo fine. And CoH on all highest, etc. But even on lower settings SupCom didn't run well... Dan had that problem too, and his machine is much better then mine (Its an alienware, if that's still worth anything).
At any rate. The game gave me terrible first impressions. Dan too. When I first played it it was boring and... meh. But the more I played it, it grew on me, and it became really fun. I mean it was only the demo, only with 1v1. But still. I'd love to play it.
I'd pick it up, deal with the low framerates but, any money I have is going toward Wii/Gamecube games for now.
...Oh yeah, I got a Wii. Forgot to mention that. Right now, my favorite thing about the Wii is that it plays gamecube games, which literally almost all cost like $5 now. There aren't many Wii games out right now, not worth picking up anyway, but my family loves Wii Sports and Wii Play.

In the game Supreme Commander, is the controls so that you just build the army and the army moves to its targets on its own?

Well, Sort of.
You kind tell your whole army an area, instead of a particular target. You do command your men, its not like they roll of the assembly line and go of to war on their own (Although, actually, you can set it up to be that way, since you can set any orders you want for a factory's rally point).
But yeah, almost all of your attention is to your factories and your builders throughout the match, not the actual battle. You give your men orders on a big scale, like "move towards this base over here" then give your second group like "Wait here and then attack that base the same time as the first group" (That's such a useful command). Your units automatically sort their targets by priority, keep artillery in the back and strong units in the front, although pathfinding around obstacles like lakes was poor.
The only reason I don't buy it because it didn't run well. Even on lower settings, 1v1, once the battle proper started I averaged 3-5 fps. Very fun game, its kinda like chess with guns.

Say, how many discs is Baldur's Gate II supposed to have? I think I may have lost one, which would make me very unhappy.
