Technical dificulties... minor setback.
Sorry about this. I guess PSP wasn't designed to work with so many vectors, and it crashed while I was numbering the regions, so I've gotta do it over...
No biggie, I can number them as rasters, but I'm just letting you know why its taking so long...

First of all, Dan, do not complain to me about how I will manage my time. No, I do not have a lot of time, but this is a post-once-week RPG. I am sooo sorry I hadn't looked at the thread for a couple of days.
Second, sorry Coral, but I'm not giving up my country.

Just calm down a bit here's the map. It's a big file, so it may take a sec to load on slower computers. Now, to explain the military icons thing. Every Military unit you create will need a name and a symbol. The symbol can be anything, as long as its simple. The symbol will identify it on the map- and the name will identify it in the text and posts. The icon on the map shows only that its a military unit- it dosn't show what kind or how many, so the enemy can't tell what you have just by looking at the map. They can, however, tell how many squadrens you have. (if anyone researches stealth technology, stealth craft will not appear on the map at all, not even for you) Another note, as the game progresses, and players unlock new technology, new icons may be added, but may not nessicerily be added to the key. Icons should be self explanitory, though. ... PS- The game will begin sunday. Check your PMs then!

Uh..i should probably ask you this in person, but I was under the impression that you were going to send us each a copy of the map with what we could see on it (including enemy units that we had knowledge of) instead of a single massive map that all could see.
In other words, I know where my in-country units are, but Al can only see the units of mine that are on the border of my country and his, or in his country (just an example). That way we can keep some stratigies to ourselves...unless somebody has scouts and whatnot...?? I'll talk to you about it in person.

by the way -- I talked with will about the map.
He said hes going to have one huge map, and everybody can see everybody elses units no matter what. Only exceptions are if they are cloaked or if you have a radar jammer (cause the reason you can see the units is cause of radar) -- keep in mind that this is starting at around WWII, just after, and radar was invented.

No, this is more post-cold-war era. Just before present day. (Somewhere around the 1990's). But yes, as I explaineed RIGHT under the map, right there, you can see other people military units. Not their strength, type, or anything... just their units. Stealth units (Like, say... stealth bombers in real life) do not apear on the map. Just like I said I have the tech tree mostly done, although I'll be adding to it as the game goes, probably. Theres already more there then anyone could ever research. I didn't add any kind of space research though... maybe at a later date, or another game or something. Unless you guys really want me to add it in...

While I'm working on the turns, you guys can re-name any of the regions so you don't have just numbers. You could rename them all, or none if you don't want to. You could name them as if they were states, you could name them after geological properties in the area... etc. Whatever.
Just thought I'd let you know.

Just to let eveyrone know, the reason I stopped working on this is becuase Al and Dan both left. When dan gets back, if al still hasn't posted... we might have to replace him... Which is sad, his country was really good.

Well, I can replace dan. Oh and a question: For the symbols, do WE have to make them? And why not put another symbol as well, to decipher what nation, and maybe even what kind of unit (Ground, Air, Sea)
