And it deserved to be revived. But its like, so much work. And the fact that Dan dosn't have the internet... (Oh, that's why he's not posting by the way. Yawn). Well, I've been thinking about this RPG a bit but there are a couple problems I had while it was still running, moreso then just "Too much work". For one thing, people were doing stuff with eachother and not mentioning it to me. Remember, I can't read your PMs, but I have to know about all the communications between the different nations... And other nations, they didn't seem to communicate with eachother enough. Nobody seemed to stay on the same page. Picking up where we left off might be a problem, only becuase I'm afriad the old players might not post, but I could just do everything with dan in person (And forward any PMs to him as well). And Cass is on vacation fro two weeks (Or one week or something). I wouldn't want to abondon everything we had done, though. One thing I could do is simplify it, something I really didn't want to do becuase I love how indepth it was. One thing I considered doing was not having multiple resource types, just one "generic resource". Owning an oil deposit would give you more of this generic resource then say, a forest deposit. This would really detract from the trading aspect, though. But at least it would creatly reduce the amount of work I would have. I do want to bring it back, I just don't know if I can keep it all up on my own. I'd hate to bring it back just to have it die again.

A. We should restart the entire thing with a new map, new nations etc.. because we messed up this time and people are gone away.
B. You do whatever you need to do to make this RPG workable.

Do revive it. I'll help with some of the work if you like; I'm not a very busy person. But mostly I want to participate in the game.

Well, if we do what Coral sugested, then you could be a player. We could have a bigger map (More regions isn't any harder to keep track of then less regions, I originally just wanted a small map so it didn't take too much bandwith) so the nations are larger individually. I'll think about the resource system a bit... I really like it the way it is but I dunno.
The best way to simplify it would be to reduce the number of countries. That's bad for obvious reasons... That means less players... but that would be the #1 way to keep it more simple. I like there being a lot of nations... oh well.
Perhaps we could have like, three nations, but if more people want to play, more then one player could command a single nation? Perhaps... a military and civil leader? Or kinda a group concensus sorta thing? I dunno, throwing ideas out there.
Well, let's see how many people would be interested in playing. Anyone who wants to join in the RPG say so here. If there's a lot of people who want to play countries, or not a lot, or whatever, we'll figure out what to do there.
Dan suggests another GM. It would seem that having the work divided between two people would make things easier individually, but I couldn't imagine such a thing going on.

I'll say it again, just for the record: I'M IN!

Well that's two so far then (I can assume Coral wants in).
I'll put a message in the News Fader, but I doubt anyone actually reads that.
Also, the game's not gonna be run in PMs anymore. There'll be passworded sub-boards... I think that'll be easier to run.

We can have just three nations I suppose, and multiple people can make up the nation at the leader's discretion.
But anyways, HELL YES WILL I BE IN THIS.

I dont think I'm gonna participate this time, it didnt really hook me good the first time around. I will make a suggestion, however. In my opinion, only one person per country would be sufficient. I think it would be easier for whoevers playing, they dont have to get approval from the other leaders of their country, their decision is the law. *Ohh Idea* Maybe one country could be unique and democratic, and have like 3 people who have to vote on every decision, while other countries are monarchies (or some variation thereof) */idea* Anywho, Id be more than willing to fill in a second GM spot if you decide to make one Will. This would fit nicely because I wouldnt have a country to be favorable toward. But of course its up to you

I'd be more like a dictatorship with a small board of advisors or something, other people to help me make decisions. Like, I'd have one person handle the economics while I handled war.

Are we getting ready to make something of this? Or getting ready to get ready to make something of it? I'll be glad to make it work with a single person or with multiple people.

I was just hoping for more players... we only have two people who said they would play.

This is true... If necessary I could probably draft a couple of my friends into it who would keep posting if the RPG kept going. Both of them have play styles that tend to turn everything in their favor, but I suppose if they're running countries competitively that would be a good thing. Still, there must be more people around here who could join.

Maybe when cass gets back from vacation. Dan's still interested I think, but he dosn't have the internet. I'd let him use mine though.
