Now, look- just becuase a RPG is dead now, dosn't mean it will be forever. The World RPG spent a long time archived. But it came back.
You just have to wait untill things pick up.
Things tat are archived can come back. All you have to do is ask.
For now though, yeah, I think it would be a good idea to archive stuff. So, I'll start archiving stuff. If nybody wants me to bring back anything, just ask. Or you could create a new thread if a want.
Now, on another topic, if you want an RPG to live, you can't just pos on post about it and expect people to pick it up for you. The more you gve us, the more people will be interested. We had pages about Soul Saber before it started. Bugshunting, even though it at the time didn't really have context, had a large discussion before it was really started on the board.
So tell us all about your ideas! Telling us about the world is more important then telling us about a storyline you want, but doing at least a little of both is good. Tell us all about the world, regions, races, magic, techology, and all kinds of stuff. Another really important thing is to tell us what kind of characters we can have. Giving us some choices is actually better then leaving it totally open ended. For example, I gave examples of the differences between Western Warriors, Western Gadgeteers, Eastern Warriors, and Eastern Magi. Giving them starting ideas can spark their imagination and get them to creating a character tha they like, and blends perfectly with the context.
So if you want to create an RPG, don't stop posting in it. Don't stop telling us stuff. ESPECIALLY if its dead or idle. Sometimes telling us more stuff is all it takes to get it back on track. Same goes for if the thread goes totally off topic. Just give us some more info, and people will start talking about that instead.
At least, that's how I've always found its worked. Now, back to your regularly-scheduled off-topicness.

Let's do a side quest. All the active members can get togehter and go o something. The inactive ones eiher stay home, are busy with somehting else, or arn't there when we get swept into the quest.
Something short and simple...
...hmm...
Ok, how about this? During the battle, the protections on one of the mage towers was broken. Now, golems, skeletons, elemental summons, and other magical creatures are coming out, and harrasing nearby people. The guard is containing them, but they need someone to go in and fix everything. So the guard, or the owner of the mage tower, hires us. Maybe a reward is involved, and for those of you less law-aligned, seceretly looting the tower is an option as well...

nyuk nyuk nyuk... looting is fun...
but yeah, well do that to occupy the time. it'll give us a chance to introduce all of the characters and see they're rp styles and the persona of the charcters. i think its a good idea. ill make it the next day.

Question: Didnt we have to grab a boat and pick up some people on some other continent, on the way to mine/Dan's quest? Or did that change?

no, i dont really think so. that was one of our ideas to incorporate other characters into the story, mainly Iwa and Coral. both of which had other plans. so we dont have to do that anymore.
and did you ever get in touch with dan about your guys quest?

Since we're in Pyralis, and Dan/Tass quest was originally supposed to be in Kroy, we'd have to take a boat one way or another (see the map, in the info thread.). They can, of course change it, they could even say it in Pyralis if they wanted.
Its up to them.
