It happens in the Harry Potter Books soo many times. I like this whole plot thing but who's gonna be who? I'd end up being a werewolf or something.

I'd be with Will in the anti-vamp/werewolf category. I'd have to kill myself if I played a character like that. You seems to be missing the point of role-playing: you dont have to be the cliche vampire or werewolf. You can make your character with whatever personality you want ( and just have them be a werewolf on the side). Even if I didn't play a vamp/werewolf like they are stereotypically portrayed, I would still hate playing as one.

Well like i said before, I think my circus troup being mixed would be interesting. Like my Jester is human, my strong man is a werewolf, and the girl high wire walker is a vampire (u know, considering there have been versions of vampires that can fly, so if she falls she can save herself that way, hehe). Maybe the fire breather can be a demon if they're in this world, otherwise he can be whatever.

I think demons should be fine. It sounds like a pretty far out, magical sort of world.
I'm thinking I'd like to play as the kid of some mortals, but be, in fact, a very ancient sorcerer/vampire, living out a life I never had, and waiting for my greater calling.

Do we really need to set out a plot? I think that sometimes the best thing to do is just start up and see where it goes.

well i can only make a plot for my 4 characters so far. Maybe they're out of work circus performers and have been wandering about looking for work. Most likely doing street side performances to make a buck along side the occasional odd-job. But for the most part, although they wish they had a big top tent to keep then grounded, bringing smiles to the people they meet on their travels is just as satisfying.

Yeah, saves trouble. Forget the plot! I'll post first. I feel special that way.

I basically gave a plot for my character. I'll make a map of the world, or the galaxy, or a segment of the universe, whatever the stage might be, if you like. And we probably ought to start in generally the same area in order to get it rolling. Other than that, I don't see a grand plot as being really necessary.
Here's a thought: We could take turns being the catalyst. Like, maybe once, I'd post something that challenged the group, if we're all generally in a group, or a certain character. And then later, BugHunter might do so, once the first issue is resolved, or even before, to complicate things.
And I was just thinking. What if we made a neutral account on the forum, and a person using it could post as the narrator, the story guide. This person could introduce villains, and if necessary, act the part out. And whenever that person was done with it, he/she'd pass it on to another player through PM's, changing the password so only one person could use it at a time. That would make for some slightly anonymous and very varied situations.

an interesting idea, different, and outside the box. Would we go for it?
So did we ever decide on a setting scenerio? My circus performers can fit in any scenerio since entertainment is a business that will never lose furvor.

Alright, I'll throw out a setting idea. I'd like to see this get moving. - Begin Setting Description - Earth is no longer the only planet inhabited by man. Space travel has been so advanced and simplified that no one can even keep track of colonization. Humans run rampant through the stars, landing here and there, multiplying and innovating as never before. When our kind first left that leafy green globe called Earth, though, other fantasies too came true. The myths of many cultures, founded in various, unnatural occurences, became reality. Those who were and would have been persecuted for what they were on Earth found their freedom in the heavens. A colony of what many knew as lycans or werewolves was founded, and many more were reported, soon followed by vampires, shapeshifters, sorcerers, and many other creatures of legend. The human race, at first, was horrified; these were things that had been grotesque for uncounted years, things used to frighten children into following orders. But through the centuries, these different cultures found that they were not so radically different as they thought. This new spectrum of differences pulled mankind, to some degree, out of its foundation in similarity. No one expected others to be like them, because those others might be wolf men or living gods. Now, man and his many variants live in mixed societies. Gangs have vampiric assassins, shapeshifters for undercover agents, and leave the torture up to creative mages. Circus troupes employ vampires as tightrope walkers, and tame chimeras instead of lions. Things have changed. - End Setting Description - So. That's pretty open-ended. Lots could happen. And I suppose that with the rapid exploration of space, introduction of alien races wouldn't be out of the question. Thoughts?

That sounds very cool. I've got a few character ideas in mind, but I'll wait until I develop them a bit more to choose one.

So then start it.
You could probably use that exact post as the strting post. Though you'll need to think of a challenge for the characters.
