Wonder what kitsune said. You see, I had already compiled a book of responses for whatever he might say, including, but not limited to: Racial insults, More 'qu'ran' quotes, or links to arabic gibberish. Anyways:
Technology India > Dinosaurs may have been the world's first birds, says study:
London, Aug 5 (ANI):
Whether the Archaeopteryx, the dinosaur which existed 147 million years ago, could actually fly or not has been a matter for debate amongst scientific communities for long.
But now scientists at London's Natural History Museum claim that they have concrete evidence proving that the dinosaur could actually fly.
According to Nature, the claim had earlier been disputed because scientists said that the Archaeopteryx's lack of a bird-like breastbone was evidence that it lacked the power to take off.
But now the study, which has been published in this week's edition says that the extinct species could be the world's most primitive bird.
The scientists have found that it had enlarged brain regions for vision and movement control, similar to modern-day birds. Its inner ear structure, which helped to control balance, was also bird-like and its brain to body size ratio resembled that of today's feathered fliers.
The researchers also found that the species had a keen sense of vision and the movement and balance control needed for coordinated, controlled flight.
"This shows that Archaeopteryx was more bird-like than we thought," the report quoted Larry Witmer, who studies the evolution of flight at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, as saying.

Kitsune just said you should join a terrorist group, becuase 'you would get along'. It was an insult out-and-out, it didn't even contain an argument or a response to anyone elses posts...
Anyhow, I knew what an Archeopteryx was, but I never knew people debated about it. I always thought it was just a bird.

Woa, whats been going on here? And if anyone is thinking it, i aint a muslim hater. Christianity is not about hate, its about love. And i see now that it is not worth getting angry at those who hate. Besides, if you let hate take hold, it becomes a staging point for the devil, and you become what you hated in the first place. By the way, I luv you guys, *sniff* ;D And sorry to hear that Coral. May your grandmother rest in peace. And on current events around the world -- The Olympics start TODAY!!! ;D And yesterday, our governor McGreevy(sp?) of New Jersey made the announcement that he will be resigning because he's gay... But is that really a good reason to resign? Although i dont uphold the concept of homosexuality, who says you can't be a gay governor? But all that aside, I heard that he did some fraud. Wouldn't that be a better reason. I'm smelling black mail and coverup. What ya'll think?

yeah, i read that governer mcgreevy is resigning because he was gay this morning in the newspaper.i dont really think thats the only reason hes resigning either. that wouldnt make much sence... cover-up would probably be the best reson.
but then again, i would proabaly be weird to be one of the only gay politicians. like if you look at our presidents, there really isnt much variety there. never a minority president, never a women president, never a gay presidesnt (that was open about it anyway), and we really didnt even have that many catholic presidents... and one of them was assassinated, wasnt he? i guess, alot of politics has alot to do with publicity, and how much people like you. needless to say, not everyone in NJ is exactly accepting homosexuality right now. he would probably be losing alot of support by announcing that.
but even beside that, coverup is a bit more logical. i mean, why would he announce it if he werent already planning to resign? the only thing that would come out of announcing something like that to the public would be a loss of publicity. and i doubt that he 'just couldnt keep it a secret any longer.' hes telling us all this now becuase its an opportun time to do so. hes probably pulling out now so he doesnt get hit with whatever 'fraud' he was up to in the first place.

Well, what are his chances of getting reelcted? I mean, probably hes an excellent person and fine governor, but with so many people who couldnt see past the gay label, he probably wouldnt stand a chance at reelction. So he decided to drop out now

No. The reason he's droping out is becuase his reputation is ruined. And he's NOT because he's gay- after all, almost everyone supported him when he came out with it- it's becuase he cheated on his wife... with a guy... and he's getting sued for sexual harrasment for it. That's not something a govener is "supposed to do".
Its really too bad he couldn't of just come out and said he was gay before any of this. One of the best govenors of the country, turning out to be gay... it might've been an eye opener to some people. But now becuase of all this mess...

oh well, he resigned.... doesnt take effect till november though... which conveniently rules out a special election.. keeping his party in power longer... seems like the first move in a smelly game of chess. at any rate i read he announced it publicly now because he was blackmailed by cipil (was that his name?) (his man lover) to either give him money to keep quiet or he'll come out w/it. if thats the case, Mc Greevy did a brave thing publicly announcin what had happened and not giving in to blackmail... even though no matter wnat he did he would've lost anyway.

Check this link out: news.scotsman.com/scitech.cfm?id=1028302004Proabably nothing... but still, its interesting. We can only dream it happens in our lifetime... [Edit] Although all the science news sites say about the same thing about this finding, SETI itself (the officials on this matter) say something very different. Here's an excerpt about the same contact:
