I play soul calibur 2, and my character is and always will be Nightmare. ;D Isn't he great? I've been trying to use Ivy, cause she can be quite deadly, but its going slow so far.

oh my goodness. If you can master Ivy, you will be invincible, and extremely impressive in front of an audience especially because not a lot of people have seen or know her moves. My brother is a master with Ivy, and he kicks ass with her, royally.

Dan tried to learn Ivy. He got very very good with her, but not quite master. I've been trying to learn Rapheal (very against my style, eh?). Like, every one of his attacks is a guard impact or counter. Very fickle though, you have to get the timing just right. Its not going so well yet, but I'm not gonna give up.

ive always used Talim, just because shes so fast and its tough to guard or guard impact her attacks. all her attacks are in different places and shes got alot of good movement attacks. plus, people like talim are people like nightmare's worst enemy, so it gives me an upper hand on fighting will... bwahaha ;D

My bro also mastered Talim. He's really into the super fast chic characters... wonder why...

yep! although I seem to be too far bred on 2-D fighters that i'm still adjusting to the need to 'not' button mash at times...not to mention that in these...pressing in the reverse direction is no longer a 'block'
oh well...I suck overall...but my aim isn't to win a fight- my goal is to prevent a 'perfect' - if I can inflict some sort of damage- i'm good to go- it's a much more easily attained goal.

Hey, i say the same thing too! except for when i want to win And oh hey, I just got a bunch of new games, well mostly new for me -- Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy Tactics, Twisted Metal 4 (free), and James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing (lets hear it for the hot Bond girls ;D) And somebody answer this question -- I need to have a Play Station one memory card in order for PS1 games to save while playing them on the PS2?!

yeah you do... PS1 games need their own save cards... which is kinda stinky considering their alot smaller.
but i highy recommend FF tactics and FFVII. very good games right there. consiquently, i just beat FFtactics and am playing all over again ;D. will tried to get me started on a game called Front Mission 3, which is all well and good, but just not really my speil i suppose. i didnt get hooked like most games. usually when i find i game i like, i get obsessive compulsive...

FM3? you have me to blame there
but FFVII is a definite plus, and the original Tactics too- (Bug- now you'll get to know what i'm talking about with the calculator class...)
beat the both of them- replayed Tactics though to ensure that I don't save before the final dungeon- cuz' you can't get out if you do...impossible- not to mention the extra super hard secret dungeon at the end can only be accessed at that point
personal favorite FF though is IX! as for you PS collection- i'd highly recommend Star Ocean and a slew of RPG's I listed on this thread that I had...(somewhere back there...check them out) for example, Alundra or Wild Arms
as for fighters again- I don't expect to win, as long as I inflict damage and have a good laugh while i'm at it- once it gets serious, I drop the controller- i'm not much for competitive play...my anger get horrible when I let it loose...

I use to play tactics... That was fun. Any of you ever play SNK games? I hear they make good 2d games, and fighting games included.
