while we we're on the subject, has anyone played Metal Gear 2? I couldn't remember where I was so I started over today, it's pretty cool.

No, I havn't played any of the metal gears... Only MGS and MGS2. ((Did I let someone borrow my copy of Neverwinter Nights? I can't find it... and I'm actually interested this time...)) Also... I think we should all start playing games online with eachother. What are some games you all have? I think a good game for all of us to play together would be Baulder's Gate II... Me and dan played that a couple times together, its great fun. The way you can create a TOTALLY unique character and you are all indivudals, but really have to work as a group, inspires a lot of fun co-operation. ;D

I have Baldur's Gate II and I would play with you guys. I haven't played it in forever so I would have to familarize myself with the system again, but I could start playing whenever.

All i got are classics -- Starcraft anyone? Besides, anything else and lag will be a problem. And damn Dan for not knowing what lag feels like -- with his damn cable modem.... And yay, Gaming thread is revived without the thread disease. yay

I got Warcraft III, but i haven't tested multiplayer with it. I haven't even gotten much skirmish practice with it.

well, im always in for Baldurs Gate II. i think we stole our cousins play disc, becuase we have two... hehe ;D oops. at least me and will can both play now...
and i love to play starcraft and brood war, but i was never really all that good at it. but ill play anyway if thats the game we decide on.
and i too have banned myself from diablo, so i think we should refrain from that. not to mention me and will only have one disc between the two of us, so only one of us could play at a time.

How much could i get Balder's Gate for? Perhaps ill look into it if this starts up. In other gameing news, StarCraft: Ghost won't make its December release date. Won't even be out this year. Also, Nihilistic is off the project(which could be good or bad) Read more at www.gamespot.com/news/2004/06/22/news_6101105.html

Bauldur's gate II is really cheap now... You'd probably be able to find it in the bargin bin if you looked. The game, however, is no bargin bin game... its the longest game I have ever played, period (200 hours easy With the expansion). It's all so amazingly detailed, and TOTALLY open-ended... you can solve problems, litterally, any way you want. I mean, I know that 'open-ended' is one of those buzzwords, but this game really does it well. Character creation is amazing (I'm a theif!), and the NPC's that join your party are amazing as well. They all have their own personalities, and they all interact with eachother amazingly. For example, if you have Minsc and Edwin on your team, they argue and fight all the time, and will eventually even battle eachother. And... and... well, I could go on. The game is amazing. Plus, its all 2D, so computer specs are not a problem.
And, the starcraft ghost stuff... they can just kick nihilistic (or whatever) off? They were the ones, uhh, making it? Somthing must've happened int here, like an argument or sometihng, or Nihilistic was doing something blizzard didn't want them to, or something. And being delayed? By blizzard!? OMG!? yawn... really, I saw that coming. Prolly just trying to avoind a release ANYWHERE near MGS3. Oh well, the mroe time they have to work on it, the better it will be, right? ;D

Just to let everyone know, people on other boards were saying they like to totally mislead gamers with previews for MGS games. All of the stuff they said about the other games, before they came out, were true... but... gave somewhat of a misleading picture of the mood and feel of the games.
I wouldn't know, though. I didn't follow the metal gear series untill I got MGS1 for the first time, which was after the release of MGS2:S.
Also, I would like to say that I am totally (re-re-re)re-absorbed into Baldur's gate II. It's pretty much the only game I'm playing now.
