So whats up everyone.
A couple people still check the board pretty frequently (I know I for one check it every day, but I still talk in PM to a couple people) but not many people are posting.
I mean if you ever have anything worth talking about, just go ahead and make a thread. I think its still worth it to try and get some conversation going in this place.
Anyway, for me, I'm still going through some of the more advanced technical training at work, but for the most part, I know whats going on, which is cool. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it already, but I'm an arcade technician at a Dave and Busters down the street form where I live.
As for games, I've been playing WoW, which with a party, is more fun then I expected (Then again, I expected to sleep while playing, so maybe that's not saying much). I've also been playing Command & Conquer 3. Joe Kuchan is my hero, and C&C95 was the first computer game I really got into. Plus, free Red Alert 3 beta key (Russia = Armored Bears).
I'm thinking about buying a new computer. I do most of my gaming on dan's mega-computer, but I want one of my own.

for me, I've been doing a lot job interviewing. I had an interview with ITT to do work on radar jammers, but i don't really want a military job. ITT works solely for the military, and on the site visit they showed me the radar jammer project, but they said i probably wouldn't be put on that project. I have no idea what project i would be working on, so i was a little turned off. So i kept searching, and i just had an interview with a company called Rambusch. They are an architecture firm in jersey city who work with memorials and churches and banks and stuff. They did the 9/11 FDNY memorial in NYC, and they just completely renovated the Salt lake city state capitol. I would be working on lighting design. So that means i would be doing of hand drafting and lighting plots, which i think is really cool. and less deadly. I think it would be really cool to draw something, hand it off, and then see it made into an actual object. Even if it is a lamp or a lighting fixture. Not to mention, I'd be doing work with chandeliers, which can be really awesome. So I'll see this week whether or not I'll be working with them.

I'm busy as hell out here. I just recently finished my internship at Nickelodeon and Capstone night is on Wednesday where the Salvage demo will finally be unveiled! We've been crunching hard for the last few weeks and we're on the razor edge of being 100% done. I'm like making a cinematic in one week. It's gonna be a huge night to remember and I wish you guys could be there but you're all in other states . And graduation is on the tip of the horizon. After the 30th I'll have more time to talk more and I'll finally be able to unveil artwork online. and then it'll be on to find that entry level job, woot woots... Society sucks, we get no breaks from elementary to career!

I got a job at Shop Rite. Should be good to run the register on my own soon. Driving test today, hopefully I'll pass. Sherman had an ear infection when we took him to the vet. May 6th we'll go back and see how he's doing and get him his rabies shot. Saving up money so that I can move out to Arizona with Will at the end of the year. Might take summer classes, not sure yet, but I'm taking classes in the fall. Other than that, playing games and slowly but surely cleaning up and packing up my bedroom so that if I move first my family doesn't have to pack it up when they move later.

I just got back seeing an advance screening of Iron Man.
I.... uh, Robots... and beating up... robots beating things up. And lasers...
Other then that, I am excited to see what artwork you post bughunter... I was wondering why we saw almost nothing. I figured you were making a ton.
Also, I am getting ready to build my computer. All the parts are chosen. $1200. I am ready... its quite a bit, but IMO, worth it. its a one-time investment that will last me years.

Iron Man was the shiznit!!! Word to the wise, did you stay till the end of the credits? Hmm? Hmm? Oh right, about not posting artwork around here.... well me thinking that the forum was completely dead had nothing to do with it *cough* BUT! CAPSTONE NIGHT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!! Our project was a huge hit! You should have seen our gallery, it was so packed that you couldn't even move, it practically looked like an underground night club (especially with the way we decorated the place and how we lit it all)! People were eating us alive for our t-shirts and dvds of our game! As for the project itself, I'm satisfied how it came out, we have pretty much the entire first mission of the story completely playable and it's great. I didn't even get to play it myself until last weekend, lol. I was in the thick of production hell. But it was all worth it and we pulled through and it was amazing! Last wednesday night was definitely one of the best nights in my four years in college! My family was even able to make it and they said they weren't going to be able to! I can't imagine how that night could have been better! Spent most of the weekend celebrating with all my friends. But now I've been able to post up some artwork at my deviantart so you can see some of the work there. Also, some of the photos from the night are up on facebook. I'll try to post some up here if i have the time, but do check them out over there. I am on a high right now and everything couldn't be better for those of you heartless bahstids who never bookmarked my deviantart page, go to: bludrgn426.deviantart.com/gallery/

That sounds awesome Francis, congrats!
As for me. . . oodles and oodles of fun! My guild in Warcraft has killed Illidan! We're in the elite now, ranked 4-5 on the server and maybe 1500ish in the world (havent checked that in a while, however). So that's going well.
I've been playing a lot of Counter Strike and TF2 as well, which really isn't news to be honest.
Finals start Thursday and should be fairly straightforward. Had to make a web page and the rest are just multiple choice. Oh, and my 2D design final crits, instead of a final project per se, we just look at our work for the semester and talk about it. I should have some pictures up next week, once I get my work back from the professor.
I should be getting a vehicle of some sort within then next few weeks, probably my mom's old Blazer. With luck, and depending on how the whole summer job situation works out, I really want to try to make a trip down to Jersey and see if I can round up the Bloomfield crew. I guess we shall see how it turns out.
OMG SUPER EDIT: I forgot about the anime. Yeah, I uh, finished Fullmetal a couple months ago now. I caught up on the English dubs of Bleach just a few moments ago and now have to wait impatiently for Adult Swim on Saturdays. Next I will probably start up Death Note.

I gave up on Fullmetal when Roy started one episode contemplating slitting his wrists. I went "Woah, wtf? Too emo. Buh-bye." Death Note seems ok though, some pretty nice animation on it compared to most anime you see on nowadays. Although, I do have a really awesome anime movie to recommend, two actually. The first is Appleseed, and the second is also Appleseed, but it has a subtitle underneath it that I don't remember offhand. They have a totally new animation style that looks awesome in the first one, and then just goddamn genius in the second. It has a really cool cyborg guy in it too. That's cool about Illidan too. Did he drop that war glaive thing? That thing is damn brutal looking. The guild I got back into is progressing quickly too and has actually managed to wipe out the guild that most of us left because we surpassed their progression in a week, literally.

Hmm... I had a strong distaste for both Bleach and Fullmetal. Dan likes them both though. The only recommendation i could have is Gurren Lagann. So totally worth watching all the way through (Skip the fourth episode if you want). I've made that recommendation before, too. I also enjoyed GoaGaiGar but I don't think anyone else here would like it.

The only recent anime that has been worth watching is Death Note. I was actually surprised when I discovered that it was intelligent. I thought it was gonna be one of those damn emo teenager anime's. I've actually grown quite distant when it comes to anime and anything Japan (except the food). I don't care what anyone thinks when I say this but.. Asia is freakin weird.

I gave up on Fullmetal when Roy started one episode contemplating slitting his wrists. I went "Woah, wtf? Too emo. Buh-bye." I dunno, at least Mustang has a solid reason for being a bit suicidal. I mean, he basically murdered those doctors in cold blood because he was ordered to, despite knowing it was wrong. At least as far as I am concerned, he gets more sympathy than a 14 year old kid who thinks that life is bearing down on him after his first breakup ever and decides to OD on anything he can find in the medicine cabinets. but yeah. . . fun stuff! I guess anime tastes depends on your personality, like anything else. Bleach reminds me quite a bit of Dragon Ball, where you have the good guy-underdog who surprises everyone by accomplishing the impossible while doing badass stuff. Draws me in every time

The thing is, I read quite a bit of the Fullmetal manga online before it was licensed in America, and it was nothing like all that whiney emo junk all the time. After Roy gets emo and whiney, Al and Ed start getting emo and whiney, and everyone is just depressing all the time, and I gave up. I don't see why they have to make anime series so much different than the manga since it usually ends up poorly, but whatever. I'm embarrassed I was ever drawn into Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.
