Bugs itch? Scratch 'em.

[Cobra5]

"What.....What the f@#$ happened..."
*Says a confused soldier, one of five looking at the gory remains of cobra's fight. They're so confused, they don't even notice that their keycards have one by one been removed and vanished in to thin air.*

*Cobra then recives Bughunter's transmission. He can't so much as whisper a reply or worry, however, as one guard walks by somewhat close. Cobra walks through the door the soldier just came through, and comes to an intersection. There are arrows on the wall--
STRAIGHT- MESS HALL
LEFT- BRIDGE
REAR- ENGINEERING (Where cobra came from)
RIGHT- CREW BARRACKS

Cobra thinks for a moment, and goes back. He formulates a small plan in his head.*

I'll try to see if I can't sbotoge the ship. Then I'll head to the bridge, and either take this thing down, or maybe find a little information...

[Tassatul]

*Tassatul and Agrithno hear BugHunter's transmission*

'FRAEL!(ooc: some Farscape right there) Max speed Argrithno! BugHunters in trouble' orders Tassatul.

*The Lagger ship come into view*

[glow=red,2,300]'Remember the effects, sir'[/glow] Agrithno reminds Tassatul.

'Right. By Tassadar, look at all those popups. I cannot see BugHunter anywhere. Deploing smart missles, NOW!'

'I'll cover you' Agrithno says.

*A single lasgun shot shoots across the field and hits the Lagger's shields*

'No no NO, not the lasgun!! Holtzman's atomic reaction! May Adun have mercy on our souls!' screams Tassatul.

SSSSSSSSSSSSS! BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!FFFFFFFFFFFOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!

*Tassatul and Agrithno's ships smash into the ground. Explosions follow them. All but the farthest away popups are vaporized. Fires and explosions are everywhere, the ground is blackened. Radio silence*

*The Lagger ship trembles a bit, and flames leap from all angles. It visibly sinks lower in the air, probably from an engine failure*



(occ: i know some of you havent read Dune. if not, i just want to get across the point that this explosion is HUGE. In the Dune universe, it can destroy small moons, i just toned it down a bit here so that nobody's character has to die. Think major pwnage.)

[BugHunter]

(ooc: woa! woa! woa! Did you destroy the lagger already? oww... And did you forget that Cobra was in there? You know, there was a reason why i didn't destroy it with my attack... partly because Cobra was there. We could have had him destroy it and have him redeem himself, if that were possible.... and because i imagined the lagger to be so strong. And what the heck is a lasgun? Is that a typo? And whats Holtzman's atomic reaction?? And why did you're ship crash?! Come on Tassatul, u're putting me in the dark here...)

(ooc: oh and thanx for being ignorant to my ship being shot down, Cobra...)

[Cobra5]

*Cobra places the last bomb on the Laggers engine array. Taking this out will slow the ship to a crawl. Then cobra notices the lag device. It's a resonably large machine, but not massive like the engines. Silently and invisible, Cobra places one bomb, his last one, on the device.*
"Time ot get out of here" He thinks to himself

Cobra starts heading back to the bridge. He walks slowly, as crew are scurrying about franticly, and bumping in to someone would give away his cloak. After he's almost to the bridge, he pushes the button.
"Eat this you bastards!"
SSSSSSSSSSSSS! BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!FFFFFFFFFFFOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!
*Just as cobra pushes the detonator, The laser intersects the Laggers shields. After cobra gets back up (The ship rocked so hard it all seemed like a blur) he stares confused at the detonator, then tosses it to the ground.*

"Now...let's see who's the captain of this thing..."

[Cobra5]

(I'll explain a bit-- you see, In the book dune, when a lazgun (A laser gun) hits a shield, it causes a massive nuclear explosion. Let he said, "I'm talking huge". And, at least as I see it, the lagger ain't down, just severly wounded.)

[Tassatul]

(ooc: sorry, there Bughunter. i thought i was clear. like cobra said, the lasgun/shield interaction is extremely violent. Holtzman is the dude in the Dune universe who discovered shields and the reaction with lasguns.

Also, i didn't destroy it, even though a normal explosion like that would. Mostly, i just wiped out a large number of the smaller popups and managed to nearly kill both myself and Agrithno from the shock wave. I figure like you said we could let cobra redeem himself by taking out the ship.)

[BugHunter]

(ooc: Oh i get it now. So Cobra is going to give the final blow in this battle? yea... lets see if he redeems himself, hehe. Well, my men are out of commission..again... for now. But only because we were attacked by everything all at once. I'll leave the task to you guys. Come to think of it, we're all out of commission, lol. except for cobra... I'll roleplay some more later when i have time)

[BugHunter]

*The Hunting Star has crashed. Visible scars of battle damage are all over it, sparkes poping out of an open wound. Small fires are on it here and there. The bugs and pop-ups have had they're fill and have left them alone and are just flying high over head. BugHunter pops open one of the bay doors and steps out. The other 7 follow. They're all wounded and one is unconscious*

BugHunter: (nursing his arm) "ungh.. damnit. You all ok?"

Light-Stepper: "Im ok, but Young-Tusk is nocked out"

BugHunter: "Do what you can with him. And lets make some defenses, looks like we're stuck here for awhile" *tries to establish a com-link* "This is BugHunter, anyone listening? Please respond" *static* "Anyone, please respond" *just more static* "Great, communications are down..."

*Then suddenly, they see the shot from Tassatul's ship destroy everything in the sky and then hit the Lagger. Then a large explosion-
SSSSSSSSSSSSS! BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!FFFFFFFFFFFOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!- Even though the shot was far in the distance, the effects were significant. The ground shook as if the whole planet was shaking. The light was so blinding. The heat lit the trees on fire*

BugHunter: (getting up) "What the HECK was that?!"

*looks around and notices all the scorched earth. Up in the sky he can see the Lagger going down. He can also see Tassatul's ship going down, along with a bunch of other enemy units. It was as if it was raining fire!*

BugHunter: "Daaaannnggg.... someone had some fun..."

[Cobra5]

"Fires breaking out on decks 3 through five!"
"Sir! 7 Engines down! We're slowly falling!"
"Scatterd reports of an intruder! Multiple signs of sabotoge!"
*The bridge of the lagger is more or less untouched, altough it's easy to tell the ship is in danger. There are a few knocked out soldiers laying on the floor, and everyone is buzzing back and forth. The captain looks worried, but not so much as he looks frustrated.*
"Shut the hell up! all of you! now...hmm....we may be able to drift the ship home, somehow...afterall, there are almost no enimies left in the sky. If she can hold out just a little longer..."

*Cobra looks on from his hiding place, just a bit behind the captain. He decides he's waited long enough. He walks over, still in cloak, to a console where the soldier was knocked out. He types some commands and navigates some basic menus, looking for any useful information. Location of the Pop-up base? that could be useful.*

*After some browsing...*
"Hey, whats going on with that computer?"
*3 armed guards come over to check it out. Cobra is surronded so there is only one choice left to him...*

*One guard is sliced clean through. Before the other guards can react, another is cut through the stomache. He quicly falls to the ground holding his gut.
"Intruder! Intruder! He's cloaked! Careful! Over here!"
Yells the remaining guard, panicking. He draws his assault rifle, which is yanked out of his hand by an invisible force. The all hell breaks loose, bullets start flying from all direction from many guards, and cobra systematicly uses his new gun to pick the guards off. It isn't long, however, before his cloak is hit and he un-cloaks. Cobra Jumps behind the console, and ducks for cover. He pops out now and then, to let off a few rounds.*

Captain, into intercom:"All available combat units to bridge!"
Cobra:"heh...this may be trouble..."

[Tassatul]

*Tassatul regains consciousness*

'Unnngg. . .I'm alive at least. Thi ship is totaled'

*Tassatul is correct. Shields are nonexistant, both wings have been snapped off, and the rest of the hull is scorched*

*kssshhhh*Hello? Agrithno? *ksshhh*

[glow=red,2,300]I am alive, friend. My flyer attachments are severly damaged. Currnt location is[/glow]*sssssstt* The transmission files with static.

'Frael, radios out. Well, i gotta get out of this ship.'

*Tassatul reaches up to open the escape hatch, but it is jammed*

'Well then. . .' Tassatul says as he activates a warp blade.
*He slices through the hull easily and creates and escape hatch, then climbs out it. The sky is nearly empty of enemies, but the Lagger still hangs in the air, barely*

'Its still there? That is one tough ship. I wonder what its made of? And how it was produced?' says Tassatul to himself.

*Many wounds cover his body, and greenish blood drips from them. Rapidly they begin healing, as the blood clotts and scars form, and eventually there is no trace of a wound*

'Thank Adun I still heal normally' he thinks to himself.

*A transmission sounds in Tassatul's small ear reciever* *ksshhh*[glow=red,2,300]Tassatul, this is Agrithno. Can you hear me? I am coverting to sentry mode at location[/glow] He gives the coordinates. *kssshhhh*

'Good luck friend.' Tassatul says to himself, for his radio doesn't work. He powers up both warp blades. 'Time to find some bugs. . .'

[Cobra5]

*Explosions tear through the ship. Plumes of smoke cloud the air around the massive ship. A large explosion funnels out of the hallway to the bridge, killing most of the remaining soldiers. Cobra sees his chance, and makes a mad dash for the door.*

*But just before cobra makes it through the door, he feels a sharp pain through his side and falls. He pulls a dagger our of his side, now bloody, and looks up to see the captain.*

"Not so fast...If I gotta go down with my ship, I'm at least taking you with me"
*An explosion shakes the room behind him*
Cobra:"grr....If we run now, we can both make it! Don't be stupid!"

Captain:"Don't bother trying to beg for mercy. Accept your fate, it will be easier to take..."

Cobra:"...I..."

Captain:"Die now! You die now!"
*The captian is thrown in to a maddend frenzy. He knows this is his end, but must kill cobra. He draws a long, slender sword.

Cobra:"Try it!"
*Cobra stabs the captain in the leg with the dagger he just pulled out of his own side. The Captain winces in pain, and takes a step back. Cobra gets up and draws his sword. By now, most of the room is engulfed in flame*

Cobra:"I'm not gonna die here. I won't. But even if I do, I'll make sure I drag you rotting carcass with me!"
*The captain responds with an enraged battlecry and leaps (To the best of his ability) at cobra. Their battle ensues. The resounding clangs of their swords can bearly be heard over the fire and stagering explosions. Flaming peices fall from the roof here and there, as sparks shower from the metal-on-metal impacts of swords.*

[BugHunter]

(ooc: ahhahaha! Alright, Will! U're doing the ending fight scene like we discussed! Kick arse man! Oh man, this is great)

*The Hunters are just digging in and making a small defensive post on their position. All they can do is kick back for now and watch any other fireworks go off as they wait for any pick up to come by*

(ooc: The scene I've created really reminds me of that mission in starcraft where you have to rescue Norad II, maybe I'll have a bug ambush happen, hehe)

[Tassatul]

*After walking for a bit, Tassatul powers down his warp blades*

'Not a bug in sight! What's the deal?'

*In the distance, Tassatul spots Agrithno. he rushes over*

'You're alive!' Tassatul says, looking at Agrithno's sentry mode. He has four pillars stuck into the ground, and attached to his central pit. On to of the pit are two photon cannons, and on the pillars are lasguns.

[glow=red,2,300]'Sir, i am sorry for my mis-fireing of the las-[/glow]

'Nonsence! We destroyed nearly all ememies in this sector. I only hope that BugHunter and Cobra are still alive.' says Tassatul.

[glow=red,2,300]'I hope Cobra is alive also. I still hope to punish him for his cowardice.'[/glow] growls Agrithno.

'Well, don't kill him immediatly. Maybe he had a good reson for abandoning us. If not, we'll disembowel him together!' say Tassatul.

(ooc: They don't realize Cobras in the Lagger. They only remember him running from battle a few pages back. Oh, and this isn't be the end. We should still have the 'ending' fight, but we've still got the whole planet to scourof bugs and popups.)

[BugHunter]

(ooc: The last my group saw cobra RPG wise was when he was flying into the lagger, but thats it. And i know this isn't the end, my hunters still want their trophy, the Queen, hehehe. But hey, this is our first victory in this RPG, last time we got our arses kicked babysitting Cobra's newbie army)

*The hunters have finished digging in and have put out the fires on their downed starship. They can see the Lagger slowly falling in the distance*

BugHunter: (finishing patching himself up) "I grow weary of just sitting here. You'd think any nearby bugs would be on top of us by now... Where are they? I mean, i know tassatul's forces cleared out the ground and all, but I need some target practice!"

*unknown to our hunters is that bugs underground are still alive... and getting closer*

(Guys, I started typing up the climax, but I have to go to the mall now, so I'll post it later ;D I under stand what you mean tassatul, I'll have fun trying to explain my way out of that one ;D. And I agree this isn't the end, but It's the end of this one battle ;D)
