ok...no more eating disorders and whatnot
anyone here catch wind/ or see the commercials for the movie 'Hellboy'- its based off a really kickin' comic book of the same title I definitely want to see this- a hero who is as much a demon as his enemies are...
also, he not necessarily be a hero to some- but I think Hidalgo is a hero to an extent, and I definitely want to see that movie!!!...wait...Hidalgo is the guy's name right? or is it the horse's name?...great...completely forgot

www.moviefone.com says: Hidalgo In this film based on a true story, American horseman Frank T. Hopkins (Viggo Mortensen) is invited to take part in a survival horse race across the Arabian desert. He and his horse Hidalgo compete against the greatest riders in the world in a battle of endurance, national pride, and utter survival. so Frank T. Hopkins is the real guy, and Hidalgo is the horse. I want to see that one as well, I love movies based on true stories. Infact, one of my favorite movies (that you should ALL see) (it acctually inspired me to join the FBI) is called "catch me if you can." It is such a great movie about a young con-artist and his journey avoiding the law. AWESOME twist at the end too (dont say it if you know, dont wanna spoil it for the people who havent seen it.) Its based on a true story as well, infact the real main character in it is still alive.

The catch to hidalgo, though, is not that man, its the horse.
Arabian Horses are the most endurant, fastest, and powerful in the world. That is, untill america was colinized and people found mustangs. Everyone thought he didn't stand a chance, with his american horse against all of the arabians, but he ended up winning.
Or anyway, that's what I've heard. But I'm not really interested in the movie, so I don't really know for sure.
And also, I've never heard much about Hellboy. He was a comic? From what company...?

"Catch Me if you Can" is being played on HBO. just a side-note. That was such a good movie! I saw it a while ago and I can see where it would inspire you, Dan. If I had the qualifications for the FBI, I might have considered that a career choice. Except, my inspiration would have been "Miss Congeniality".
