If its in ownly one town, whats the Maho building/complex gonna be like? I was thinking underground and secret, makes for more fun that way. Another general question, obviously people know about magic reoccuring, is Maho like a widely known thing, like our own CIA? Or more like a Men In Black, not even the government knows about it?

It's pretty well known, that's why Maho has been able to flourish. Although, people don't like admitting it exists, because they are still wary of it. |

But if everyone knows about it, how come no-one shuts it down? The government dosn't abduct people, even when they starting recruiting psychics, which is along the same lines.

The government doesn't know about Maho. No one really knows the truw purpose of Maho, but people do know about magic.

Hey, bughunter, your character is a bounty hunter, and I'm a bounty... it'd be pretty weird if the two of us ended up joining the same group. At first, like in trigun, I'm guess the rest of the group won't relize I'm wanted or anyhting like that, because I don't match the rumors. So you relize you've been traveling with a bounty the whole time... ;D

Highest bidder remember? Well you guys could always sway Tanyu to your side through money, or just plain kindness, or through a drink... Besides, I'm sure there are other bounties to take. He doesn't even have to be hunting someone, he could just be a guard for a vip or something. Though i do like your idea  . However, just like in the GTA rpg, its gonna be hard for me to figure out how he joins the rest of you guys. |

I was hoping we would travel form town to town looking for the Maho hideout, or people who know clues, or stuff like that. That's how I was planing my character. I... I'll to think of something else, now that I know it's gonna be centered on one town.
I'm hoping that my character joins your team because ya'll get caught in a fight, and I get cought up in the crossfire, forcing me to help you guys.

I'd like to postpone starting this RPG until I have a chance to be on the Internet more. I'm not going to be home for the next wekk and a half, so the only Internet access I will most likely have is now and maybe next Wednesday, but I'm not sure about that, either. If you guys want me to start, let me know by 9:30 tonight.

Ok guys, I talked to Pallla on the Phone, then read this thread. According to her obvious contradictions, you guys wouldnt really get what on Earth shes getting at.
she explained it to me this way:
The Project Maho company is a company that allegidly helps magicially inclined people to cope and deal with the stresses of being born with magical talent. The Talent cannot be learned (or so it is believed), and the mere fact that a person can cast "spells" (if thats what they will be called) by merely thinking about them frightenes many people, and they tend to be shunned. The Maho company is there to make Magicially inclined people feel accecpted in this world of intolerance.
...on the outside....
you see, this is only a front. What they are really doing is preforming experimants on magically inclined poeple, sometimes leading to their death. Their exact goal is unknown (by me / us at least). Agents are employees of the Maho company that have an innate, but semi-learned ability to sence magical presence. This might seem contradictory, but think of it as you CAN learn how to sence, but if you are born with the ability to, its a hell of a lot easier. Along with the sence comes a force to resist magic to a small extent.
When an agent is employed, they will train the agent to "help" magicially inclined people, hesitant to reveal their true working on's because the agent might rat out the company for what it really is. After a level of trust has been established between the company and the angent (involving blackmail I assume???) Then the agent is told the true inner-workings of the company. Again, not all agents are trusted.
SO when Heather said "they are pretty well known" its true, the front of the company IS well known. And when she says "The government dosnt know" its TRUE, the govenment dosnt know the innerworkings of the company.
