"How could they..." the Ancient whispered with a female-sounding voice. "They destroyed EVERYTHING...." Then, a loud bell rang, and everyone in the hallway ran off. Nidhiki decided it might be a good idea to follow.... Everyone had gathered in the main room. A cloaked person had stepped up to the task of finding brave souls who would expel the Ancient Ones. "All ye who are tired of being oppressed..." the cloak began, "...all ye who want to live your lives without the fear of these metal bastards ruining everything....all ye who feel they can make a diffrence.....RISE UP NOW OR FOREVER REMAIN SEATED!!" Nidhiki, not yet willing to expose himself, just sat there and began to wait. "Let's see who has the guts to stand up..." he thought... |

The figures words echoed in the assembly area, they echoed even louder in Mattaew's mind. Finally, somebody was going to fight the bastards. With no hesitation he leapt to his feet.
"I Mattaew am with you. Let's kill them, kill them all!"

Knowing that he wouldn't be alone in his pursuits, Nidhiki got up also. "I'll go as well..." he said, using a creepy, dark voice. The robed figure nodded. "Anyone else in the room feel like revenge?" he asked.....

The cloaked person looked toward Tanyu. "I was expecting you to say that..." he mumbled, then shrugged. "In any case....the fate of our world rests on your shoulders, blah blah blah, there's a vehicle you can use on the first floor. Good luck." He seemed to have lost interrest in the whole deal....

Adam looked at the cloaked figure emotionlessly. Adam perferormed nearly every action emotionlessly, so this was no exception. He glanced at the machine, and at the eastern drunkard.
Perhaps more will come. Perhaps not. I will go alone, if necessary
Adam stood up, and made for the door.

Fargo stood, stretching and taking the opportunity to look around at everyone else. It seemed a capable group, though the presence of a machine disturbed him somewhat. He decided to go along with this scheme, as it supported his current goal; he was going to eliminate the machine menace.
"I'm in," was all that Fargo said as he skillfully swung the 3-C Shilkey rifle off of his shoulder and into his hands. He strode purposefully toward the first floor passage.

The cloaked person seemed to smile. "Then off you go." he said, and as everyone had assembled, he pressed a button, causing the floor they were on to lower one story down, toward a large vehicle. "...I do suppose one of you can drive this thing?" Nidhiki asked. "I don't have the hands needed for controlling..."

They all hear a clang behind them, and turn to see a warrior in red-and-green armor crouching behind them, a giant warhammer clutched in one hand. "You said something about needing a driver?" he asked, smiling as he stood, "I'm your man."

"Ah, to hell with it, there are machines to be killed. Drive damnit, there are enough of the machines on the mainland that it won't be hard to find a few. Tis better to find a few then to seek out a large group of them and die fighting. We fight a couple at a time and find their flaws. . . then we kill them all."

Adam remained silent as the other carried on with their conversation. He merely wanted to find some machines and end them. Before getting in the vehicle, he grabbed his deep red cloak and threw it on his back, and put the hood up. Then he stepped into the vehicle, and looked to the others.

The vehicle's navigator seemed to be set for a town called Bardis. Loud clanking could be heard as Nidhiki stepped into the vehicle, silent and not really wanting to speak to the people he was grouped with.....
