Mattaew looked down at the navigator, Bardis? He thought he might have heard of the place before. It should be perfect. A small little village really, with no real fortifications, no strategic value. Just what this group needed. Just a quick easy victory, if the gods were willing. He pulled his sword from its scabbard and began to hone the blade, not that it needed it. The plentiful supply of diamond dust allowed the blade to puncture almost any type of armor in existance.

Bardis. A town Adam had never heard of before. As long as machines were there, it did not matter to him. He began thinking stategically about the group, wondering what uses each could provide. The one sharpening his sword was obviously a swordsman, hopefully a decent one. The Easterner also had a sword, but he would have to sober up before being much use. The machine was an unknown. Perhaps he still remembered how his brothers functioned, and could provide insightful weaknesses as well as his fighting power. The warrior with the great hammer would be a useful tank, and the one with the rifle would be the teams only distance attacker. Perhaps more allys could be found Adam then began to wonder about the quietness of the group. Surely they could not work as a team if everyone refused to speak? He decided to break the silence. ((to abishai)) "Had any training with that sword?" ((Hey, i realize the "quiet brooding" character is cool (i made one too ) but were gonna need to talk if this is going to be any fun. ))

((or is going to go anywhere))
"Had any training with that sword?"
Mattaew looked over the stranger, the first one of the bunch to offer any type of comment to him at all.
"I've done my fair share of damage with it. Matter of fact, it took some work to perfect this little blade of mine. I broke the first ten in skirmishes with the machines. This one though, this one has been through several skirmishes, and it's fed on more than its fair share of oil. What about you stranger, have you faced them before? Have you seen first hand the awesome might they used to crush humanity?"
He paused, a whimsical expression crossing over his face. "I'm sorry. Forget I said that last bit. The name's Mattaew, but most call me Matt. What do they call you?"

Fargo stood silently, unconcerned with the trivial small talk passed between the other members of the group. He was more concerned with an earlier event of this day. A young boy had come up to him and told him that he must die, that it was destiny. It had him spooked.

The massive vehicle rumbled, its engine starting up. The door in front of it then opened, revealing a VERY long bridge to the mainland, and the vehicle drove forward, entirely on its own.
Nidhiki just sat there, remaining silent for some reason.....

Fargo was beginning to feel uneasy about the machine in their presence. Though he knew the being was there not for evil, but to help, it was unnerving. He seated himself on the edge of the vehicle's deck, facing the cloaked figure, and watched it.
"I see some buildings up ahead!" came a shout from the helm.

"Those are probably the tips of the spires." Nidhiki said. "They're building huge spires there to use for living quarters. My guess is that they're restarting production on their troops..."
