Time to make yet another superhero .

Name: Victor Sutton
Alias: Regulator
Age: 25

Hair: Long, straight brown hair
Physical Appearance: Think Nightwolf from MK3

Power:

The ability to increase, or decrease, the velocity of an object. The trajectory of the object remains unchanged. Will not work on an object that is unmoving.

History:

Victor is a decendant of Billy Sutton, one of the key men involved in the Sutton Taylor Feud in Texas. The feud still remains. While the blood shed may seem to have passed, it is all an appearance.

Victor managed to skate through his classes as and graduated from high school and then college. He collected his history degree and decided that working at the local museum would be a rewarding experience before he continued his eduacation.

To his surprise he became caught up in his work at the museum and it began to be the center of his life. As he was leaving one day he had some trouble with a safe in the back room. He couldn't get it to close. He messed with it, and tinkered with it some more, and then finally decided that he had better call somebody. As he started walking out of the room, the bomb that had been installed went off. The blast was not very large, however it was large enough that had he been standing in the room, he would have been killed. As it was, the only thing that saved his life was a mutation that he was previously unaware of.

Victor had opened the a door leading into a corridor where he could find a phone to call his supervisor. When the blast occurred he unknowingly willed the door to speed up, thus closing the door. The door took the brunt of the blast. Victor left with little more than superficial bruises.

With no idea who wanted him dead, or how he had survived Victor went looking for answers. The answers he found sent him running to DSI.

Pros:

this is little thing caught my interest...despite my rather severe lack of time- i'm gonna try for this one

I just read through the story basics and whatnot, not to mention all the character bios available (deciding a power is gonna be hellacious)

of course, i'm assuming there's no real limit to your chosen superpower- but as we have always played -just as long as we don't abuse that power? that's my only real question

Here is my superhero! I noticed that you said you were still lacking a beam user, well – here you are

The Rayblade

Name: Shorin Adleida
Alias: to his friends and most others- Sho, to evildoers-The Rayblade
Age: 19

Profession: art school student…anonymous hero work
Specialty: cartooning!

Superpower: superheating particles around his body
-Heat Ray- Sho is capable of creating beams of energy of all sorts through heating the particles around him (they don’t have to be released from any point on the body in particular…using the hand just allows for better aiming). This is also able to used in ways other than offensive shots, the energy can be aimed at the ground for a quick boosted jump, or slowing a fall. Not to mention, on certain surfaces, the energy beams can be reflected- a double edged sword.

Weapon of Choice: N/A

Armor and Equipment: N/A –Although he does wear a black, old-fashioned western duster over an all-black spandex bodysuit. The look then is completed by a pair of tight (NOT form fitting) black boots, and simple white gloves.

Bio (history): A precocious child and an artist at work, Sho was well aware of his ‘gift’ at an early age. He wasn’t aware of how or why he was able to do this…nor were his parents. Either way, once he got a few years older…he began to try and work on it. Of course, his lack of control at those same years would prompt… ‘occasional’ destruction during his training. But, other than that- he continued to grow up a regular life, keeping his powers well hidden but honing them all at once.

By the time he made it college, he was quite well off with the usage of his ‘gift.’ It was even to the point where he’d be off moonlighting hero work whenever he felt like giving it a shot (whenever he was bored for that matter). During this time, he also began to use the alias of ‘The Rayblade’ (figured he’d done it for a while by now…might as well have a name no?) .And so…he continued on, a student by day…a hero by night…and no one would know it…for now at least.

Everything was going well for Sho, heck, he kept up the dual life for a good year without fail. But, on one night…he got sloppy. One of his classmates discovered his ability through stumbling in on him during a training session. Before anything could be said, the person ran off, Sho…decided to let it go…he thought no one would’ve believed him… “I kid who shoots laser beams, quit jokin’ kid” he believed they’d say. Of course…They also say that hindsight is 20/20.

Unfortunately for Sho, the classmate that escaped with his secret was also the son of a military official. Everything fell from there…He soon had all sorts of people trying to take him away, and he fought back each one. But this wasn’t something he was willing to keep up, besides, there was no way he’d be able to take on something the size of a country’s military by himself.

With the first chance he had, Sho managed to smuggle himself out of the country…to a new place following underground leads of a ‘haven’ for people in his state…some may consider this running…but for Sho…he didn’t care.

Bio (persona): Sho at heart is your average young man. He still searches for his place to belong, is still trying to find himself a girl, and has much to learn. But, he is however- very creative in situations, and has a very different mindset about fighting with his ‘gift’ :
“I don’t really care about who I’m saving, I’m not in it for the fame- I just like living this way” He’s caring and kind, but he can also be brash and prone to anger…he can be a mediator and he can also be an instigator…he’s an enigma of character. And above all else, he’ll put his life on the line for any friend that he has. A man who runs on emotion and is driven by a heart that may just be a little too big.

Cons:
-His power can easily backfire on him
-His unconventional tactics don’t always work out well
-Can be a little too brash for his own good
-He’s still but a boy, with much to learn

for anyone who didn’t notice it- this version of Sho…is Russian (the reference to 'country' and his name are all Russian)- and since that’s where it all started- I figured, it’d be the easiest place to slip and get discovered.

So then…Opinions? Revisions?

oh hey, its pretty cool. But I kinda gave my guy kamehameha beam attacks as well, but in sacrificing flight. I just didn't change my character sheet, hehe.

And you could say the place your character escaped to was DSI!

-but, this was the sketchy version of his profile- I have the refined one that really describes his powers if it gets a green light from Cobra

to differentiate, his beam is heat based, not inner/spiritual/etc based- so it has some SEVERE limitations
