What the heck is a vibrosword then?

1)A vibrosword has a blade which vibrates at such high speeds it can cut through just about anything. Supposedly.

2)Creature Tech is about a dude (the one on the cover) who's father is a... Pastor?. I forget. Something religious. Anyway, the main character was supposed to become one also- but he gave up and became a scientist instead. As a scientist, he gave up religion, instead choosing to believe in facts and sciences. He works at 'creature tech', a government research falicity which researches all of the stuff no-one else can figure out. That's where he gets the alien parasite. Also, they are suppsoed to investigate what may be Christ's barial shrouds, which turn out to be the real thing and has the power to revive the dead and heal any wounds.

The bad guy is a scientist mad at the world becuase they laughed at him for his 'giant space eel' theory. He died about a hundred years ago, but he made a pact with a demon that allows him to come back to life. His goal is to summon giant eels from space. Or rather, he already did, and now he wants to use the shroud to bring it back to life, 'cuase it died when it crashed into Earth.

Its not a very good comic. The writing is very poor and the forshadowing is way too obvious. The charcters also seem to do things without any type of motivation at times. Also, especially near the end, things just get really strange and stop making any type of sense. For example, the alien parasite, in one scene (and only one scene) turns into a robotic suit and teleports the main guy to a strange planet, where there's a bunch of other aliens and robots with similar parasites attached to them, at which point they threateningly force the main guy to join their 'brotherhood' and there's this parasite which is nailed to a pole in a strange from of crucifix... then he teleports back and its like nothing happened. Another weird part is you get to see bug heaven (Blue dies for a short period of time, and you see his soul in Heaven), but at least that part makes sense

Still, its got some neat points to it, and while most of the jokes are pretty dumb, it did make me laugh a couple times. Like, for example, a butcher accidently hangs Christ's shrouds over some meat in his freezer and all the meat comes together and comes to life. Its so happy to be alive and heads outside, vowing to see the whole world and life a full life, at which point it is hit by a truck. The reactions of the other characters as it left the shop was funny. I also like the way the alien parasite looks, with the two extra arms, and there's a really cool looking character, too- A giant Mantid soldier from the givernment named 'Blue'. He has a sycthe for his right arm, and he looks awesome. He runs away form creature tech, though ('cause he murdered a dog), and lives with some rednecks who 'civilate' him.

Woh! I was just looking up some pictures for this (which are hard to find), and I found out its going to become a movie... weird. The comic got awesome reviews all around, even though I thought it barely reached the mediocrity level...

Going back to your question about what should be made. . . I think not only melee weapons should be built, but either suits of armor, sure not your typical medieval armor, but suits that are akin to a full body kevlar suit, but alow for more fluid movement. It is true that there are superheros there, but having a section devoted to firepower wouldn't be a bad idea either. After all, how many superheros have used firearms? The answer, too many to count.

Hey, speaking of armors that are more versatilier, I heard about this new thing in development on the Discovery Channel. You know how the tensile strength of spiderweb is really strong right? Well, some dude apparently messed around with goat and spider genes and got the goat to produce spiderweb(or something like that, I was only partly paying attention), only bigger and more usable. So the stuff is really soft and smooth, but also works like kevlar, stops bullets and all that.

Spiderweb can be made by genetically replacing a goats lactation functions with spiderweb glands.

There's a newer, stronger, even more flexible artificial material now, though- Carbon Nanofibers. But, carbon nanofibers are so unbelievably expensive right now that they probably won't be used for anything for a while. But, DSi, being all top secret and super-science technology, would use the highest tech stuff available.

So yeah, I think that's a good idea. The ranged weapons would be great for us, especially since we seem to be very support-character oriented. Or even, there could be normal people who are like DSi techno-soldiers who help us sometimes. Like, the deal with the 'clean-up' (handling witnesses and wounded civilians for example), or just plain help us fight.

It makes sense, I have a couple of ideas to throw out to you about ammo too. Sure you have the standard stuff, hollowpoints, and full metal jackets, and incendiary rounds. How about making rounds that are heat seekers? What about rounds that do no damage but implant a homing device? There are quite a few possibilities for interesting types of ammo.

Well, if DSi is so super top-secret, they would almost have to have a section akin to LFN's "Housekeeping" that follows the heroes and takes care of all the clean up so that there aren't so many questions raised later...

The military is developing a suit right now that will moniter vitals, location, body temp, water levels, etc. of soldiers. The suit would have intravenous hookups that would allow liquids, nutrients, caffeine, adrenaline and such to be automatically injected when biostats reach certain levels. The material is also supposed to be self-regulating (ie: heats when cold or cools when warm via tiny pores in the material) and is like a wet suit. It also includes a built in comm unit.

I'm not sure what stages of development the suit is in, but I heard about it from a Major a couple years ago....

That suit, it would probably be impossible. Their would be too much weight. The soldiers already have to carry 50 pounds, and that suit will weigh at least 25 pounds and carry the liabillity of batteries. Right now, they use almost science fiction-like HUDs, interfaces and stuff. Like the Wijkare soldiers with Slave technology in WorldRPG

Hey i'm new to the board been reading a bunch of the stuff but barly have scrached this fourum yet. on another fourum that I'm not liking much so i'm trying to look for others the content seems interesting so I decided to give it a go. Bio:
Gew up an abused child. Father was a trucker and every time he'd come home and beet sunny in the basement wile chaining him up. Weired things happend around Sunny though what he does not remember. One day wile the old man was beating him with the chain wile he was chained up as usual something bad happened. He does not remmenber what, but what he does remeber is seeing his family lying dead through out the household wich luckly, if you can call it that, was only a father and a mother. So the ten year old boy walks out of the house and began his many years on teh streat. The years on the street were tough on him and thier are numerous occasion were he was in a tight spot but somehow got out with out a scratch. The thing was though he did not remember how but every time the victims wounds seem to have been inflicted by chains.

-arrogant from always coming out of tight spots unscathed

Anyhow, you should creat your own thread in the 'general' board. To introduce yourself. Basically, whenever someone joins, they creat their own thread. Just to hang out and get ot know everyone.
