That was something that could only happen at random (especially in urban combat), but yeah, I did plan for cirtain things like that to happen. It happened a lot in WWI and WWII... in WWI, germany had almost no way to counter tanks, so capture british tanks.
BTW, even if you DO capture enemy equipment, reverse engineering is an extremly dificult and complicated process. Mechanical stuff, such as engines, is no big deal... but things like computer equipment, armor alloys, anything chemical... takes a long time.
At the very least, however, you'll be able to use, if not produce, any stolen equipment.
If the enemy knows your about to capture something, they can scuttle it, however, which esentially destroying it.
BTW- Update on stealth... submarines are considered stealth units, and can only be grouped with other subs (but preform fine on heir own as well). Also, normal units can become stealth- but they are extremly slow when like this. They also apear on the map if they are in or near a city, as well. but if they are away from cities, they can go covert... cutting off all communications, and even keeping the soldiers in the dark about their mission- A tactic that lead to the allied victory of D-Day.
Another quick note, anything civilians know, other countries will also know.

Whew, this is sounding complicated for someone who doesnt know as much about the military as some people do. . . youre sure this is going to be nice and simple for me, Wll?

Yeah, yeah ;D Don't worry.
The reasone I have so much of it written is becuase I LOVE writing this kind of stuff... you won;t actually have to worry about it.
The only thing you have to do is order your army around. Your commanders will do the rest ;D Actually, during times of peace, you won't even have to do that.
OH and BTW, we got home and our whole house was different. One of those differences, is our computer's monitor is gone. Aperently Joe's broke, so he took ours...
Its ok though. I can take the monitor of this computer (Its the very first moniter we EVER got, we used to use it on a computer who's only OS was DOS. No joke!!) It's old, and huge, but it's gamma is near perfect, so it'll work ;D

When everybody places their cities, and when the navies and airforces are finished. Seeing as I did the Armies and Infantry in one day, I don't think that should be too long.

Updated the map- I also totally forgot about powerplants. I'm gonna change the system... I don't think they'll actually be units on the map, instead, parts of cities. I want them to be included in some way, though, becuase that's an important part of real-life, not to mention a major portion of the technology. Perhaps I'll leave it out for the test game, and we'll come up with new ideas seeing on how stuff goes. Changed the army icons... you can now tell land, sea, and air forces apart. However, Air forces won't show on the map, but I left the icon their, just in case its needed some how (like Coral's zepplin suggestion.) Designing your own units will be just like real life- you simply lay down requirments, and developers (Me) come up with numerous designs, then the military (or you) choses the best one. Alternanativly, you can design your own units from the ground up. The requirements can be anything. For example, during the cold war, the US asked simply for a tank that could carry a 120mm gun... what they saw as the only counter to russia's Joseph Stalin III tank. Numerous designs were submitted and tested, and the army chose the M60. That's how it works in other countries, as well. You can make any requests you want, even something technically impossable- and your scientists will try their best, and if it is impossable, they will add the required research(es) to the tech tree. Designing new units, however, are considered research projects, so they cost money, time, and take up the space at your labrotories. Designing a enw unit, depending on the technology involved, can take a very long time. However, if the need truly arises, new units can be designed in one turn. This has happened before in real life... So I basically try to keep it as realistic as possable. I think, though, I'm focusing too much on the military aspects. That's not nessicerilly the most important part... just the most complex part... of the game.

Yep- 3 cities, locations and their names, except for dannination, four cities. Try to have at least one city on a coastal region, as well (not a requirement though).
You can also rename regions, but remember I have to fit the name inside the region (so try not to give small regions big names).
PS, any unnammed cities will be named after their region.

okay then, my cities are in the north of 71 (capitol), mid-southern shore of 74, and then one more in the protruding coast of 58.

By the time everyone on the northern continent places their stuff, I should be ready with my end.

This looks awesome! I like the whole realism thing. Are you almost done or do you need playtesters?

Well, we are already full up on playertesters, unfortunatly... but the next game, the real one, will have enough room for everyone who wants to play.

You said we could put our cities together to create one big one right? Assumeing thats true, I want my cities all to be right on top of each other in the lower right corner of region 26, as one big city called Tlaek.
