Yes you can trade units. Just like in real life ;D
The land armies are done. Here is the publically known information about the armies, this will also give you a taste on how I do things like this.
Dannination:
It is well known that the dannination takes an unusual approch to dealing with their surroundings, and their military is no exception. Becuase of the geoactivity and dishevled terrain, tracked units generally have to stick to the roads, or suffer severe delays. Dannination has completly elimated the battletank from their arsenal, and come up with other ways to deal with the enemy.
Standard Infantry- The D-88 assault rifle is known for its accuracy... the only standard assault rifle to come stock with a flexable scope mount. Also, it uses a helicoid magazine, 70 rounds carried in the magazine which forms the front handgrip of the weapon. This also helps to counteract climb on the weapon, but its very front heavy and uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time. The infantry also carry standard fragmentaion grenades.
Machine Gunners- Not particularly common in the army. Unlike most countries, Dannination uses a light MG- the same caliber as their assault rifles (5.56mm). It is, however, operated by one man, wheras most countries use 2 man teams.
Snipers- One of the few countries who deploy Main-force snipers (as opposed to special forces). The D-56 Sniper rifle has impressive range due to its long barrel and excelent 7.62mm ammunition. Also mounts an adjustable stock and custom scope fittings.
RPG Troops- The Dannination RPG is an extremly effective model- out of nessecity. Known for its accuracy, it is one of the only dirtect-fire AT weapons in service with the defence forces. They use 2 man teams, gunner and loader, to efectivly ambush enemy tanks. They are trained to aim for disableing them, not nessicerily destroying them.
Vehicle Pilots- Unlike other nations, Dannination vehicles are crewed by efective combat troops- this way, if their vehicles become stuck in the dificult terrain, they can still fight. They are armed with the D-88 assault rifle, but no grenades.
D-2 MPHC- The D-2 Multi purpose hovercraft comes in three varities- An HMG model, mounting 2 ball-turreted .50 cal machinguns, and an artillery support version, mounting 12 122mm self-guided indeirect fire artillery missiles. The missiles are fired blindly into known enemy zones- each missile individual tries to track in on laser-reflective materials (Ideally, armor alloys). The third model is a weaponless, civilian model. Ideal for its terrain, the D-2 excels in both hit-and-run and Shoot-and-scoot roles, but becuase its a hovercraft, it cannot mount heavy, recoil operated weapons (IE, a tank cannon) or heavy armor, making it weak in a direct confrontation with tanks.
Mk9 Field Artillery- This immobile 200mm indirect fire artillery piece must be towed by another vehicle to relocate. It is also good in the direct fire role, its long range giving it an advantage over tanks (Dannination, during urban combat, puts a gun at the end of an important street and shoots any tanks trying to cross it.) Becuase it can't move, and it offers no protection to its crew, it is normally not allowed to engage in frontline activities.
Wijk
Wijk puts as much available technology into their weapons as possable. Most other countries moderate this, tho save on costs and to ensure greater reliability, but Wijk instead prefers extremely efective combat weapons.
Standard infatry: The Wijkare infantry carry full C3 (Command, Control, Communicate) equipment. Video and audio data is relayed from their C3 Slave units to the closest C3 Officer unit, either an officer or mobile HQ, to allow for more effective co-ordination. The AR-99 carries 5.56mm amunition in bull-pup configuration, has customisable accessory rails both over and under the barrel, and has a built-in digital scope that allows for presice firing and is linked directly to the C3 unit. Officers carry command equipment, allowing them to direct troops without any verbal communication. All troops also carry infra-red image enhancers that work in either day or night efectivly. They also use a visor which uses a rudimentory HUD system that displayes objectives and waypoints layed down by a C3 officer unit.
HMG team- 2 Man .50cal HMG teams support troops. Excelent in city fighting as heavy support and open field fighting for suppresion, they both carry C3 slave equipment, but never officer control units. This also has light anti-vehicular capabilities due to it heavy caliber.
SAW Soldier- THe SAW is a unique class of weapon to Wijk- a hybrid between an assault rifle and a machingun. It fires from a 100rnd box of 5.56mm amunition, but isn;t much larger then a normal assault rifle, allowing for mobile heavy support fire. Excells in forest and city combat, but its low accuracy and ineffeciency as a supression weapon makes it bad for open field fighting. Carries either C3 Slave or Officer units.
RPG Soldier- A 2-man laser guided RPG launcher. It can be fired in two different modes- Laser guided, where the gunner must keep the weapons crosshairs over the target, or Fly-by-wire, where the user pilots the missle via remote control. The gunner carries a C3 Slave, but the loader does not (instead carrying as many missiles as possable).
Special Forces- known to carry SMGs or Sniper rifles. Known to bolster troop positions and support frontline fighting, instead of behind-the-lines activities. Little else is know.
Vehicle crew- They don't varry C3 equipment, instead, use the built-in units intheir vehicle. Little combat value outside their vehicle.
MBT-7: THe most technilogically advanced tank on the battlefield, its 120mm rifled APFSDS (Armor-peircing fin-stabilized discarding sabot) rounds show excelent range and armorpeircing qualities, with almost no ballistic arc. The barrel mounts a thermal sleeve, fume extractor, muzzle brake, .50cal Coaxial machinegun, and laser rangefinder. The gunner has access to a powerful FCS that aids in targeting and helps ensure a first-round hit. The commander has an excelent cupola, with full C3 equipment and a 5.56mm MG that can be fired from inside the tank. There is another 5.56mm MG on the roof of the turret that the loader or gunner can fire, but either has to pop out to use it. The tank mounts an active radar, but few details are known. It proabably only scans for aircraft.
APC-2: The APC-2 come in 3 varities- Transport, Medical, and HQ. The APC-2 is the tansport varity, with room for 6 troops and full gear. The SPC-2/HP is a mobile hospital, with 2 onboard medics and any equipment they could require. The APC-2/HQ mounts a veritble C3 motherbrain, with three on-board "force-Coordination" Officers. All three models mount a .50cal machinegun in a small, one man turret.
