Well in that case I'd mostly be a shapeshifter with the ability to propel his throwing stars with a wee wind shpell. digi-digi.net/illustrate/T-o-M-E/image/naga.jpgGoogle image'd naga, and I think this pic gives a pretty accurate representation of one. Just think mermaid, only with a longer tail and features that are more reptilian. If I can ever get around to it I'll draw a pic to give a more accurate idea of what my character in particular looks like.

Will loves Warcraft Nagas. I know that much anyway. I never really liked snake people, but I've only ever seen them looking like a snake form of a centaur so that's why I hated them so much.

I like it actually, the Naga is a Southeast Asian thing- which probably explains why...Nagas for us ARE dragons...but usually, instead of part human, they had at least several heads...kinda like a hydra, sometimes though, they did have humanlike upper bodies

I love serpents after having played Indigo Prophecy. I think that there should be some consideration in adding nagas though. Like how common are they, where do they usually live, how many people outside of that area have heard of them, how many others have heard of them only as a myth, would people be shocked or frightened by seeing one all snaked-out. That sort of deal, ya know?

Perhaps this would work for a sort of semi-backstory on Naga? The now modernized West has long been troubled with an infestation of Nagas. Encroaching on the swampland that is a Naga’s natural habitat, loggers and lumberjacks started disappearing, sometimes only one at a time, sometimes in groups. When the loggers started requesting some kind of protection, Western officials took notice and sent in a team of warriors to investigate. What followed was essentially genocide. The Naga’s that were left alive were studied, and deemed a threat to the security of the political structure of the nation as a whole. Classified as pests, rewards were posted for the tails of Nagas, and they were hunted nearly to extinction. Some of the stronger Dragon-Nagas were able to fight back and hide, but in just one generation, Nagas were hunted to extinction. While the reward still stands, and knowledge of the Nagas behaviors still remains in the Western mentality, Nagas are all but considered extinct.
The East on the other hand has temples devoted to Nagas, despite the fact that none have been seen there for centuries. The general populace considers Nagas a myth, and the appearance of one could potentially cause a violent and chaotic reaction from the inhabitants.
Anyone know the correct plural for Naga? d-:

I just say "nagas" but I think it could also work if you just say "naga" like you do with sheep and all. Whichever sounds cooler, I guess.

If nagas hadn't been seen for centuries, I don't think they'd make a good playable race. The original idea was to have the only intellegent (And, for that matter, playable) race to be humans... otherwise we get into situations like Palla's half-demon thing, and RPGs like Maho. Well, I mean, more power to the people who played Maho, I guess. I posted twice and was bored with it Back on topic, I guess its up to group concensus, but I like the idea of all humans better.

I think, if a naga type of race was to work, there would have to be barely any of them, like maybe a couple dozen at most because of the near extinction thing, and they should probably be half-breeds or something since in order for those few to survive they would have blended in with human towns and cities to survive.

I propose a compromise. I will begin the RP in human form, and if being a Naga wouldn't really work out contextually I'll just kind of make him human. Anyway, my point was mostly that the Nagas were mostly a Western thing, it was the Eastern nation that hadn't seen any for a while.
Shall I jump in?

Also, the half blood thing is entirely up to Cobra5, I totally know where he's coming from with the whole uber unique thing. Once upon a time I administrated a Perfect Dark RP . . . 'twas interesting, but it ended when I was suddenly unable to access the board. Might still be going though . . .
Sorry, back on topic. *posts*
