I'd call it a gift. There are times when I spell things all incorrect-like just for the fun of it. I like to make up my own word forms and all that. I used to type like all of the kiddies do nowadays, but I have a friend on AIM who always uses proper grammar, and I started to feel really dumb in comparison. After that I just started using proper grammar, and I like it better that way.

lol I got owned at 'grammar.' Consider it a typo. . . I'm actually ashamed.
I dont really mind the shortened structures in games that people use, mostly. Its common practice to shorten player names in Warcraft (so you doing have to type out Eudknifaliant, just Eud) and palce names and such. WTS for "want to sell" ST = Sunken Temple and so on. The stuff that bothers me mostly is when people shave off two letters of a word. 'You' versus 'u'. . . honestly, how much effort does 'y-o' take? Or if its just blatent misspellings like 'liek'
. . . but it is funny to use on occasion. My guild in Warcraft is called LOL CAPSLOCK. We're actually a nasty pvp team that mostly uses readable typing, but we make FUN OF IDIOTS WHO FIND IT NECESSARY TO LEAVE THEIR CAPSLOCK BUTTON ON ALL THE TIME BECAUSE THEY THINK IT MAKES PEOPLE LISTEN TO THEM. . . when it really just /ignore.

I don't mind shortening chara names either. Gwen instead of Gwenolyn and all that. That and characters in Guild Wars have to have more than one word to their names, so it's necessary to shorten them. The "abbreviation" I hate the most is "gd" instead of "good." I hate that so bad!! I have a favorite typo though. I love when people type "form" instead of "from." I don't know why I like it, but it just makes me grin.

Guild Wars is one of my favorite places to always use correct grammar. It's such a polished game. So lovely in every way. I'd hate to ruin it by making poor use of the English language.
And I never use peoples' names in my conversations anyway, so it's ok.

Yeah, but it's kind of important to use a person's specific name when you're yelling at them for being a stupid n00b and getting the party killed.

That's true. But I haven't really done much in post. Everything's so nice before that I couldn't tear myself away from it.

There's a better chance of finding dye as drops in pre, I've found. So sometimes I'll start up a new character, collect some dye, take them to post, put it into storage, sell everything the character has, and delete it.

Indeed I do. I also now play Star Wars Galaxies, which I must say defeats GW in pretty much every respect. But I still play both. I play a Mesmer, and used to play Elementalist. Necro seems decent too.

Necromancer rocks. In any game.
Sadly, I have taken Guild Wars off of my computer. I took about 6 characters to the end of the pve (I've made quite a few and deleted them), and gotten to Rank 3 in the pvp. About that time the guild I was going with fell apart, and didn't really have any initiative to find a new one and keep pvping.
Warcraft seems more my style. A helluva lot more pve content, plus you dont have to find a team to explore it all. I also like that in pvp, you dont have to have a build in order to get anywhere. In guild wars, you pretty much had to have 8 people who were all in voicechat and casting spells in unison and such. Warcraft, the only real strategy for the most part is "stay in a group." If youre all together, its easy to pick off stragglers and you arent easy to be picked off yourself. Helps in running the flag.

WoW does seem a lot better in gameplay respects. I love not having to work with other people all the time, or at any time for that matter. However, the one major drawback of WoW is having to pay per month, and not everyone can afford to do that.

If you have any kind of job at all, its really not much. What is it, like $12/mo right? I think I actually kinda like that, because (in theory) it keeps away some of the little kiddies. I suppose it dosn't quite work like that.
And yeah, GW Does have a lot of downsides compared to the other MMOs, but then again, that's why its free.
I'm planning on getting an MMO eventually, but I'm still deciding on which one. That and I still dont have internet on my gaming computer.

I think WoW is $15 a month, but I don't know for sure. And anyway, with parents like mine, I might not even get the "option" to spend a bit of money every month just to play a game.
