That's hilarious. I should see if I can trick my Spanish teacher into showing it or something.

"Let the music flow through you!"
"Ready he is not! Too powerful, the DDR machine is!"

I bought the original Timesplitters a few days ago because i was curious. Took me only 1 hour to beat the levels on easy mode, hehe. For the most part the action felt like Doom but in 3D. But i must say that the level design of the last level, which was a space port, actually impressed me, even though it had crude modelling by today's standards. It might have been the bright colors and ambience that got me... hmm. For the most part it felt like opening up a history book and looking into the past. It was interesting to see the origins of the Timesplitter franchise.

Yeah, Timsplitters is a great series, and I hope they continue it. Even though the end of Future Perfect kinda finishes everything (the Timesplitters are erased in the past, and therefore never even exist) Badguys always find a way to come back.

Man.Plus, that game has such awesome humor that it would be a crime to discontinue it. Also, a VGCats comic showing Nintendo's genious vs Sony's flawed money-making ideas. www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=212

Wait. I kinda got a microsoft vibe from the cucumber dude. Not enough 360s in production so it *looks* like they are selling very well.
In another note, does anyone else think its bad that no FPS since Counter Strike has seemed worthy to me? Excluding Half-Life 2 (which is the same company so. . .), I've played a good 4 or 5 shooters and they all fall short of CS in my opinion. Am I addicted, or just priveledged to play such a complete game?

Counterstrike? I thought it was a very poor game...
Let me think though... I havent played an good multiplayer FPS... DoD:S is good in my oppinion. But to think about it there aren't any good multiplayer FPS...
Call of Duty is a great FPS series, but nothing special in multiplayer.

Hmm. It's going to take something really unique and original to make a truly spectacular multiplayer FPS. I mean, they're all basically the same: aim, shoot, try not to die. Yeah, you can mix in capturing flags or destroying enemy items/points, but it's really all the same anyway.

I dunno, whenever I play other shooters, they seem to lack something that CS has. Unreal Tournament has little strategy, just run and gun. FEAR required little to no aiming, as long as you sprayed in someone's general direction you got the kill. DoD:S is very close, but its frustrating to pretty much instantly die when you get attacked. You've got more of a chance to react in CS.
I suppose its really a matter of personal preference or even mood, but thats the way it seems to me.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. CS must be your thing, you know?
I loved Unreal tournament, not because it took skill, but for the opposite. I would play it when I was tired, or frustrated or something, and just go around and mindlessly frag everything in sight. (On a side note, the original UT was more difficult, and much faster paced)
DOD:S is still the FPS I play when I want to play online though. I'm an RTS guy overall, in which case, right now its Compan of Heroes all the way.

Well when it comes to multiplayer, they all kinda feel the same, just a few differences in speed, flow and polish. Oh but hey, did you guys see the new trailer for Team Fortress 2? They showed more of what the classes can do in-game.
For me, what makes the most difference is the single player's sense of immersion. Thats why i like the Half-Life series, Halo series, and Call of Duty series. CoD by the way i think is the best WWII game franchise out there right now (but then again, i dont think we need any more new ones...).

I'm kinda out-played on WWII games these days. There were what, like 8 in the last few years? Seems like a dead horse.
I'm say I'm an FPS guy in the long run, straight up from Wolfenstein and Doom. I used to think RPGs were my favorite, but Elder Scrolls were the only real RPGs I think I've played (I dont count Diablo, X-men Legends -- more like action games).
Single player is great when it's done right. Half-Life 2 is the best I've seen so far. Good pacing and you dont have to do things over and over to get them right. Thats one reason I like multiplayer I guess: When you screw up in single player, you load from a save point and try again, only this time you know what to expect. In multiplayer, you learn to think like the opponent and try to anticipate him-- and if you screw up, youre done untill next round.

HL2, absolutely perfect and fantastic single player experience. What a ride that was.

I'm an RPG/TRPG guy. I play RTSes and FPSes, too, but I'm not usually very good at them.
