Woa, Tass, that looks awesome. Is that a protoss unit from Starcraft:Ghost?

Why yes it is. The crouching one is a Vindicator, kind of a zealot with a rifle. The other on is just your basic zealot. Unfortunantly, Amazon.com lists Ghost as not coming untill June 2005. Ouch. And thanks for the compliment

That Vindicator looks freakin hardcore. A little more over the top than I'd expect from the Protoss. Awesome either way though

Vindicator? VINDICATOR!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...
That's... my... word... now everybody is just gonna think I'm copying off them...
Like, for example, in Starship RPG, the main Starship was the "Vindicator".

Oh, well, yeah, its REALLY awesome... but it still stole my name. And just think, Blizzard said the new units in ghost will appear in SC2. So it looks like the protoss will finally have main-force ranged units like the other races...

I was doing some 3d stuff a while ago. Simple stuff, like small units like that, is actually a lot easier then you think (I was making little tanks and stuff the first time I sat down with it).
Its bigger and more complex stuff, like characters in 3d games, thats a lot harder...

Im thikning of making a starcraft mod / campaign, based off bughunters. It'll go like this: Planet Euderon is infested by swarms of zerg, and only a few towns remain. The UED has hired YOU to exterminate them, along with help from the local militia. It could be multiplayer, too, and you could have dudes on the bug side and dudes on the terran side.

i rememeber playing all kinds of stuff like that on Starcraft. then i swore off all multiplayer blizzard games because i was afraid id catch the idiocy disease that seems to run rampant on battlenet. plus, im sure i dont have to tell you guys how addicting and time consuming that stuff it. i swear, its worse then drugs sometimes, lol.

I must be the only one here who has NEVER experienced ANY of the Blizzard games- or for that matter any of the complex computer games out there (the ONLY computer games I have ever played were the card games and minesweeper along with some other simple ones...)...the computers i've had just never were able to handle it
but now that I do, these computers can't be used for it

I'm an expert map maker. If it can be done, I can do it. Period. So if you ever need any help at all, just ask. I used ot make all kinds of maps, but I generally didn't play them on B.net. One exeption though, I was playing it on B.net, and people actually seemed to like it. Didn't stay popular long though, oh well. I've had a lot of fun little ideas for maps, only two of which were Bugshunting based. One was an RPG style game, which I made for the Blizzforums map competition. This was the old bugshunting, though- the first bug war, with the Newbie army and such. You could player as cobra, leader of the Newbie hoards, Tanyu and his band of Hunters, or Tassatul and his Fremen,, or you could play as a band of eliete Newbies (yes that's on purpose). They would each have special abilities- Cobra could recruit new army members, and the Eliete Newbies could respawn, for example. The battle was a huge battle going on, and you're just a small unit(s) in the middle of it. One one side was the newbie army, mostly marines and ghosts, and the other was the bugs, mostly lings and hydras. The bugs would be totally winning at first, and the heroes would have to fall back numerous times (there were 3 bases to fall abck to), but by the time they got to the last, their levels would've been high enough to reverse the tide. The other Bugshunting based map was based around the new bugshunting. It was never finished, unfortunatly. This time, you could play as Bughunter, Cobra, or Tassatul again, but you could also play as Kal (before he was infested) or Katt, leader of the Apocolypse II. This one was different- instead of one huge war, it took place in seperete battles- every time the heroes entered a specific area for the first time, it would trigger a massive battle in that area. And, of course, between the battles were random spawn points. Tassatul had a base on th planet, and some heroes as well, just like in the RPG. Cobra was alone this time, but could switch between his Rifle (ghost w/cloak) or sword and energy shield (Dark Templar), just like in the RPG. Those were his only special abilities, but he had the highest normal attack power. Tanyu was there, he and his hunters were a mix of Dark Templar, Zealots, and Marines. His group mixed numbers and strength. Tassatul was the numbers guy, who had a Protoss base, could mine, build extra units, and stuff like that. He had heroes, too, though, including Tassatul himself, a zealot. Kal was very strong, but his main ability was the fact he could cast 'spells' which were a bunch of special abilities (such as invulnerability, healing, summoning, and damage spells). I never got around to building Katt's team though. I've had a lot of other maps, but unfortunatly, they're all gone now. They were on my other computer, which is lost now... oh well...
