Hell, I'm gonna see it, and I don't have any interest in Superman whatsoever. Batman, yes, and also most anything by Marvel. I never liked Superman though. I always thought it was so cheap that there was only one substance in existance that could hurt him, and that he's completely invulnerable otherwise.

It's not his fault he godmodes. He can't help it. Just be glad he doesn't take control of other peoples' characters and make them act completely out of their character, too.

Think if we had a mutant rpg here, and someone wanted to be Superman. Overpowered written all over it.

What, you already forgot the (failed) superhero RPG?

Luckily being evil isn't in Superman's nature.
I saw the movie last night, it was WAY more better than I though it would be. The flying effects in this movie are superb, not like in X-men which look like cheap wire flying from really old kung-fu movies. And the newcomer actor playing Superman was actually really good. He portrayed both personalities of Clark Kent and Superman really well. Sometimes I thought he actually was Christopher Reeves. And I like that this isn't another origin story like all the other recent hero movies that have been coming out. You already know he's Superman, and they go straight to him saving people all around the world. OH, and Lex Luther was done really well, hahaha.

He really does look like Chris Reeves. It was cool. Did you catch when they had the photo of superman holing the car? Looked like this: I love it when movies do stuff like that.

I just saw Click tonight. Outstanding movie. My favorite of this summer so far unless something better comes up, but it'll be tough to beat. I loved it.

I know we have some movie/music/game pirates here, and I found this link to a piracy calculator. You put in how many of each type of item you've pirated, and it calculates about how much money you didn't spend by getting them illegally. ;D z0rz.com/dblog/?p=49

!
And thats only cause I'm on dial up for the summer. My friend is hooking me up with roughly 35 gigs of music sometime this week, so that will at least double.

-for those who have something to say about Supes- hey now, remember- sure, he's a penultimate good-guy, he has but one mortal weakness, and he's not 'cool' by today's standards, but what he is- is a mythology for generation that has none- A Hercules per se. He's THE superhero- the one who is responsible for that term's existence, and is one- not by a tragedy (his loss of Krypton isn't what shaped his future), but by choice. In more ways than one, he's a secular messiah for a culture in desperate need of one. Not to mention, cheap is harsh- remember that when he was made, that idea was ridiculed for years...no one believed in superpowers to begin with, If I was working at that time, creating a character that NO one has ever come up with...I'd have made him invincible too in all honesty.
sorry, i'll stop- I'm a huge supporter of Superman (if it weren't for him, I wouldn't be a cartoonist right now) - and am a firm believer that there's still a place for a hero who doesn't need to be a badass (for that, I go to Batman).
anyway though, as for that calculator...I got you beat by over 4 times Tass...I think it's the software packages that really did me in though, Macromedia Studio MX is a package that in itself costs over $2000 (then there's Maya...and the Adobe packages...and a lot more)...not to mention the music library...oh god the music library

Dang straight! Superman is de man!! I used to not like him as well, but his purity is becoming more appealing to me.
You have Maya? Dang, i gotta get that. But I need more storage space, my projects take up so much memory.
