lol, i'm no great one - trust me, there's better out there...I know a guy at the dorm that has probably about 10 times what I have put together...
but in reference to the Maya package- yes, I have it- and it runs...however, it's not worthwhile on the laptop- the processing power and memory needed to render just isn't there on the iBook..let alone one that's two years old
in such, I probably won't have it for much longer...what I really need though, is After Effects...and that one has proven to be a bit harder to get...

Ah, After Effects. Great program. Haven't learned how to use it yet. I heard its like photoshop but for movies. Hey, the guys who worked on MirrorMask used Maya and After Effects, all the programs we're training on. MirrorMask is a great movie by the way.
you know, it just occured to me, ITS ABOUT TIME YOU'VE COME BACK ONLINE!! Welcome back! Actually Pixie told me about your computer being busted for awhile or somethin.

I just saw Superman. Spoilers begin here, so stop reading if you don't want to see them.
I don't see any solid evidence that that kid's his son. All we have is the piano-pushing, and that's not conclusive, given the things an adrenaline-enhanced human can do. Don't even try to tell me that kid wasn't pumping with adrenaline, either. He shows no hints of super-hearing, probably the first thing a curious kid would develop, and he gets a B in gym class, unlikely for a child with even a hint of super-speed or -strength. The only possible sign of super-vision is that he recognized Clark as Superman. Possible evidence for him being the son, though, is his need for all those meds. Human DNA is likely only partly compatible with Kryptonian, which could result in a sickly child.
Spoilers over. All in all, the movie was pretty good.

I actually found it easy, the key scene for that whole "child of Superman" bit was when he very visibly reacted to the Kryptonite held by Lex Luthor, and when he realized that he no longer needs his little breathing device (I completely forgot what those were called) after he reached for it

**spoiler discussion, dont read if u havn't watched Superman**
its an inhaler. I dont remember him reacting to the kryptonite though. The boy didn't look like he was in any discomfort around the thing.
The whole point of him using an inhaler and getting lower scores in gym class was to hide the fact that he's Superman's son. It was all intentional and it was all a fake act. Lois Lane doesn't want the world to know that her boy is a super.
And I think it was a great directing choice not to have the kid flying around and showing off his powers and acting like Superboy in the movie. It would just seem too much of a set up if they did. The point is to slowly find out he's the son, not find out right away. Besides, remember it wasn't until Clark Kent was a teenager that his powers really kicked into gear.

More spoilers for Superman.
I'm not arguing that he's supposed to be Superman's son, or that he should have shown more powers. I just dislike that Lois, who can't see through Clark Kent's glasses, can realize that her son is Superman's. I am skeptical about the gym scores and inhaler being an act. He also didn't react to the kryptonite. He seemed to, but it did nothing at close range. I've seen several interpretations of the inhaler part. What I saw was that he pulled out the inhaler, then tried to click it but it didn't work.

**spoiler discussion**
Well remember in Superman II that Lois Lane slept with Superman?

Blah blah spoilers blah.
Never saw it, but I've been told. One assumes, however, that she also slept with Richard, otherwise he'd be pretty damn suspicious.

spoi-- bleh, u get the idea
I think she did sleep with Richard, but I think it was also to hide the fact she got pregnant. But its a very important fact that Superman Returns comes directly after the original Superman 1 and 2 movies. Because of the events in Part 2, it explains the reason why there's the kid and also stuff like how Lex Luthor knows the location of the Fortress of Solitude.

I found this awesome flash movie thing that I have to share with everyone. It's a bunch of clips of some dumb looking anime that are set to music, and the mouths/situations match the songs so much..I was shocked, and I also love the part of it with the Rammstein song. The URL is HUGE so just click here

I'm watching this AMV, I recognize the anime thats in it, but I forget the name of it. I've seen it used in a bunch of wacky music videos. I do know this though, the girl thats singing with the hair buns, those hair buns let her fly or something.... She isn't exactly human i heard. And I'm recognizing the song too! Thats from Animaniacs!! Man, now that was a great show.
Oh snap, I just finished watching it all. I know these guys who did this AMV, they're the ones who did AMV Hell 1, 2, and son of AMV Hell! Oh snap!! These guys are rediculous in their AMV's
