I love that it's cel-shaded so bad. I do hate Keanu Reeves like a gun wound, but I'm a full supporter of cel-shading, and I'd love to see how it works out on a large movie scale.

Oh man, I gotta see A Scanner Darkly! That movie is breaking new grounds in artistic mediums, mixing and merging togethehr cell shading, rotoscoping, 3D, and 2D all together for the first time like never before! Its gonna be a real mind eff, woot!
As for this weekend, I'm planning on seeing Monster House and Clerks 2.

i heard clerks was way funny, i havent seen it yet though.
do. not. see. lady in the water. its retarded. and thats about it. my cousin and i spend the entire way home bashing on it. haha, the best thing about it is that they tell you exactly whats going to happen int eh entire movie right at the beggining. theres like some bedtime story that is coming to life for this guy, nad you get told what the story is and your thinking 'okay, its gonna get all screwed up and this lamer here has to find out how to fix it all and bring things back to balence...' but no. they just follow the story like its supposed to. and exactly what they said was going to happen in the beginning, happens. wow.
a scanner darkly does look like a good one though. definatly something im interested in seeeing. just for the animation if nothing else. i dont really know much about the story

You know whats bunk? Like nowhere around my home is playing A Scanner Darkly. Does anyone know, is it considered 'controversial' or something? I know it deals with drugs, but like. .. wtf.

What?! That cencorship of art! And I shall not stand for that! Gwwaargh!!
Yeah, I haven't really heard anything past the fact that it really dwelves deeply into the psychotic symptoms of heavy drug abuse or something. Its a real mind f**k movie, I do know that, so there's bound to be some stigma around it.
I saw Clerks II a few days back. It is a FANTASTIC movie. Its also very very hilarious. Kevin Smith truely earns his legend status. And yet he's still so humble and down to earth, a great man.

Maybe, by some passing chance, It'll be on demand... trust me, on demand sucks.

On demand like digital cable.
Supposedly the movies come out on that a couple days after the theater. But only sucky ones do.

Actually, now that I think about it, after a couple of months they do come out On Demand, but if u want to see them, u have to pay for those.

I want to see it so bad. I love Will Ferrel to death. He's so hilarious. I think he even asked Oprah for help in one of the commercials I saw.
