Wow. I saw Lady in the Water a while back, and I thought it was wonderful. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Um.... This just goes to show you, everyone's different, and any given person's opinion on something is WRONG UNLESS IT'S ME not necessarily an accurate prediction of how you'd see it.

Will Farrell is the man!! He's my favorite comedian right now.
I'm curious enough to see Lady in the Water. I think M. Night Shayamalan is a much better writer and director then the likes of Steven King.

I just saw "Accepted" last night!! Incredibly awesome and soo freakin hilarious movie!! And since most of us are in the college department, everything it says we can all relate to. Luis Black would be an awesome Dean!
I also saw Snakes on a Plane the other night. As B-movies come along, it actually wasn't so bad, hahaha. But considering it advertised itself as crap, it can only go upwards from there.

Something has come to my attention. I do not believe that I have informed you all that there is going to be a Transformers movie. Yes, Transformers as in "more than meets the eye, robots in disguise." You may have already known this, but I have seen the trailer. I am excited.
I also saw the Spider-Man 3 trailer. I was dissappointed, but only because I wanted to see the tongue. Venom's tongue.

Is it a real trailer or is it the teaser that we've all seen months ago? Cus if its a real trailer, plug that link right now!! They're also using the original voice for Optimus Prime from the original cartoon show, which is neat I dont believe Venom will be a key character in Spider-man 3. But since they're finally introducing Eddie Brock, I think he'll only be created at the end and then save it as an intro for Spider-man 4 to be the Venom movie. Oooh, this looks like an interesting rotoscope animation movie: www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/renaissance/trailer1/ . With its black and white style, it reminds me of an animated graphic novel anyone hear about the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie? Its gonna be animated. I dont think its a question of love it or hate it, but I'd be curious enough to see it anyway. www.apple.com/trailers/wb/teenagemutantninjaturtles/hd/ . As for their new look, I think i actually approve because they finally look like the age they're supposed to be, around 15.

I saw a real live trailer, in theaters. It was when I went to see Superman a few weeks back. Looking now. . . ah, its at the website. www.transformersmovie.com/ I clicked "watch the exclusive announcment." I dunno if this is the teaser, but its the one I saw in theaters. Like I said, I just want to see the tongue. I concur though, I think it would be entirely too rushed if Parker got the symbiote and then got rid of it and fought Venom all in one movie. I'm also curious as to how theyre going to explain it all. Somehow, I dont think Parker and just about ALL of the Marvel superheros go to fight the Secret Wars on a distant planet. Although, a movie (or three) about that would kick ass. I'm not a fan of the new TMNT's look. Instead of ninja turtles, they look more like. . . spiderman/frog hybrids. Maybe I'm too conservative.

And yep, thats the trailer we all saw. They also talk about the movie in Clerks II, lol. Too bad Transformers isn't gonna come out until next summer

Me and Will sall Silent Hill the other day, finally. It was so awesome! It didn't even really scare me, or not to the point where it kept me awake at night. It was pretty disturbing at parts...like when sharp barbed wire is shoved into lady...parts... I cringed at the thought of the pain. Anyways, I loved the story and the monsters. The coolest monsters were the nurses and Pyramid Head, of course. I especially loved all of the women characters. They had a lot of emotion to them, and they had a lot of brave/strong moments which showed that their sheer determination was a lot stronger than the terror they were feeling. The effects were sweet, the music was awesome, and the gore wasn't even so bad that I had to look away, even when they were showing the girl's burned body. (Burned/burning flesh is the kind of injury that horrifies me the most.) Good movie! ;D I watched it twice.

Yeah, it was good. The "finale" (With all the barbed wires) as it was was too gory for my taste (The games actually have very little gore or blood at all). I prefer horror movies to be "disturbing" not "disgusting" (and disgusting is the trend, it seems ). That was exactly the feel they went for, disturbing, PLUS I'm a fan of the games, so I did end up liking the movie very much. It dosn't follow the story of the games at all, but all of the major points and feelings and the whole spirit is totally there, which in my oppinion, is more important anyway. Plus the ending is just like one you'd see in the games. Everything is resovled, yet still no-one is allowed to just walk away.

Even though it's not an exact game story, I think it's better that way. It makes it easier for non-gamers to understand, in a way. And plus, the things that were similar the most (from what I've heard from Will) were all little things, and I love when movies stay true to the minor details. Like the cop's radio crackling, and the three different Silent Hills (the real one with Sean Bean in it, the foggy one, the Darkness one), and the girl on the bed in the end. And even though there was some gore, it wasn't a whole lot compared to most horror movies. You really only see two or three people get torn apart by the wires, and I don't really consider gibby bits on the floor to be a lot of gore since you don't see how it got there, and that's the disgusting part.

Yes, Silent Hill i thought was very good too. They really did a good job encorporating stuff from different silent hill game series while still making it into an understandable story.

Which brings up the inevitable question: what kind of video-games-and/or-comic-books-made-into-movies-viewer are you all? Do you bitch and whine about every small detail that is different from the original, cursing every moment that is slightly altered to fit the needs of the film industry? Or can you immediately see the goodness behind movies that dont follow the exact storyline of the comic, but rather the spirit, and even have a decent storyline to boot?
Of the bat, I'm the nitpicky person. I generally have to remind myself that its still a good movie, even if it's different.
