ya, if that stays up in the museum, then that means we gotta put up that the Red Sox won the world series this year

no. im thinking about weeding out the museum of everything non-board related. like i mean, direct quotes from the people. so dont be offended if one of your entries got deleted. its just that it belongs somehwere else, not the museum.

No, your character goes berzerk, and does extra damage, and attacks 7 times in a row (constantly), but you can't control them.
But to even get 7777 health in the first place is a chalenge (the highest I ever got was 6000 or so), let alone having your health land EXACTLY on 7777...

FFVII was the last good one. FFVIII was... 'ok'... FFIX was good but had major flaws... and FFX sucked, and so did everything after it...
Square is dead to me.
Infact, the entire japanese RPG market is dead to me. They all suck now. I'm sticking to american ones form now on (Fable, Morrowind, etc)
Still, the best RPG of all time is and always will be Baldur's Gate II. It can't be beaten.

my personal favorite will always be FF IX (when it comes to that series anyway)
but yes...the RPGs being produced now seem to be lacking in all sorts of punch now...all the more reason for me to continue on my PS1 collection quest! (and playing some more of the stellar-but not-mainstream-in popularity-RPGs...aka sleeper hits)
I'm currently replaying Wild Arms and going through the huge classic opus that is Dragon Warrior VII (its a 100 hours long on its basic quest alone!)- a major throwback to old-school, being one of the few series that predates FF and still stands today...a classic in all senses of the word

You guys should try looking at the more postive things in life. Like, instead of focusing on what sucks, focus on what kicks arse Hey, I got a Genesis emulator on my computer. I'm currently playing Secret of Mana. Interesting stuff, but the bosses are mad hard actually. I'm sometimes even surprised I manage to defeat them.

Everybody here is already focusing on what is good and not what sucks... they're all sayign how they simply ignore the bad games and go straight for the classics Still man, if you like long or setailed RPGs, go straight for Baldur's Gate II. 100 hours? Easy. With the expansion pack, Throne of Bhall, I clocked over 250 hours. Basically, this is an RPG for people who think there is no such thing as "too indepth" or "too detailed". People who like to get right to the end won't be happy. People who don't like to explore, who don't like to RP, who don't like think during gaming sesions won't be happy. You need to really be into it. But once you're into it... its sooo worth it. Gamespot's mini-review, for example: "It's a definitive role-playing experience, and the only reason it can't be called the best game in its class is because in a sense there's nothing available that compares to it." Its only for computer, and it needs 2.5 gigs, with the expansion, so you need a hardrive. But the graphics are nothing intensive, so you don't need a new computer to play it. The backrounds are great looking, hand-drawn pictures that are great. But the charcters and the monters... they're not as cool. Humans, elves, halfings, etc. look 'generic' (all humans look the same, all elves look the same, etc). The mosnters look great, but aren't animated well at all and look quite static. The spells are, simply put, ugly at best (remember, though, the game is old). Graphics aside, everything else about the game is perfect for someone who like RPing. You literally build your own character... and not like in other RPGs where you just pick his class and skills and stuff... oh no. Nothing is said for you... you literally choose everything your character says from every conversation. Plus you can play the whole thing multiplayer. Just like the single player game, but with as many people as you want. The story revolves around only one player, but the others are by no means left out. I could go on, But I should really stop. Many people here don't have regular access to a computer, so there's really not much point anyway . Still, you should definatly play it if you get a chance, and you don't have to bother with BGI to understand BGII. All you have to do is ask the other character's in the game to refresh your memory.

I would gladly let anyone borrow it. I want to... spread the word, so to speak. But its five discs, and I don't know how many of them work, is the problem. There's only one play disc if you do a full install...
I'll group up all the CDs I can find and see which ones work. I dunno if it works on Macs, I don't think it does though.
I saw it in the pre-owned bargain bin at EB for about $2 a couple days ago.
