The plot was quite amazing, I must say. I give this movie my highest recommendation. The only downside is the acting. The characters get a little, uh, dramatic, near the end. But by this time your cerbellum has blown a fuse at the awesomness of the plot, and it doesnt matter.

The movie I recomend is the Incredibles. I thought it would be a stupid Kids movie. Especially becuase, the previews were all for REALLY little kids movies. Like, baby movies. Then, before the movie itself started, (Like all pixar movies), there was a short mini-film. And it was REALLY little kidish. I'm talking, babies. But the movies itself was so great! I went into thinking I was going to totally dread every second of it, regretting I even came, but not so! In fact, after I saw it, I went see it again the very next day! Serves me right for doubting pixar yet again ("Shrek 2 is going to suck..." ~me). The premis is that Two super heroes get married, right afterwards (due to lawsuits) being a superhero becomes illegal. So they are forced to just act like normal people and get normal jobs and the such. They raise a family, and since both parents were super heroes, so are all thier kids. The characters are Mr. Incredable, who's got super strength, and Elastigirl, who can stretch and also deform into different shapes (like parachutes). Then their kids are Violet, who can turn invisible and make psychic shields, and Dash, who has super speed. At times it really did feel like a kids movie- they threw in a couple dumb jokes obviosly meant for little kids. But that's not bad, becuase it just makes the movie literally for anyone. A little kid can enjoy it just as much as someone older like me The plot is neat, a little bit cliched, but that was obviously done on purpose (it was supposed to capture the feel of old-school super heroes, and it did it perfectly, I would say). It's definatly won my accolades, which takes a lot, trust me (I'm a tough pretty critic). And, of course, their animation and graphics are the best yet. Their characters look and act very, very relistically. They show the full range of emotions and so many small subtle effects that you can't notice, but can just tell are there. The 'special effects' are great as well, such as the explosions, energy shields, and obligitory ray-beams. In fact, if I really had to pick out a flaw, it'd just be that you didn't get to see Violet fight enough- Psychic shields and invisibilty are two of my favorite super powers ;D

I'm gonna park my carcass over here and cry... because i dont have access to a theater as long as i'm in college.... Oh well, I bet it'll still be in theaters by Thanksgiving weekend. Any good movie thats good stays on for a long time. Crappy movies get shoved out the door in just a few weeks.

yeah, i went to go see the incredibles with will and dan the second time around. along with about half the family . it was a great movie, pixar defiantly knows how to keep their audiences coming. they've had alot of success lately, like finding nemo, shrek, even the older ones like toy story and a bugs life. i love pixar ;D

sortof, but I think Disney is now recognizing that Pixar kicks arse so is kinda teaming up with them, even though Pixar came out of Disney because of irreparable differences, so to speak. But hey, it says Disney presents a Pixar film for The Incredibles...i think...

Pixar makes the movies, on their own, totally. Disney isn't involved. I believe Disney gives Pixar money, and in return Disney gets to put their names on the movies, which is excelent advertising.
After the movie is done, Pixar gives it to Disney, who handles all the technicalities such as distrubution, mass-production, forign affairs, and multi-medium releases.

sounds like something I would do. I'm not good with technicalities

Nobody has posted on it quite yet, so I'll file it away under entertainment. . . after all, it was entertaining. The basket-brawl game on Friday. It's been in the news for a few days now. Fans throwing stuff at the players, and the players pounding the shitake out of the fans. . . all in the last few minutes of the game. It's enough to make you hurl, preferably at the players.

ya...thanks for noticing, buddy... And it didn't start with a stupid fan, although the stupid fans really did make it a lot worse.
