Well, we don't have a new Entertainment in General thread yet, and I think that name was too vague, so here we are.
I haven't seen any movies lately, except The Producers, and that's not exactly new. It was decent, though, even though I dislike musicals.
As to music, I just realized yesterday that Weapon of Choice is about Dune, so I need to get that on my phone/mp3 player. Also, I tend to pick up a lot of music from my friends, rather than finding it for myself.
TV... Heroes is back tonight! Yay! And House had its first episode two weeks ago, then went on a 3-week hiatus.
In the book department, I'm reading the Farseer Trilogy, by Robin Hobb. It's pretty good, and a lot less derivative than most of the stuff out there. Also, if it counts as books, I loke the manga series Saiyuki. But the newest translated episode ends in a huge cliffhanger! Must... have... more...

Cliffhangers suck in manga when you have to wait for the damn things to be translated! My problem is always that I read a manga online, and then they bring it to America so it has to be taken off the intarwub, and I don't know what book I should be starting with from what I had read online. Makes things difficult... I'm reading the LotR trilogy for the fifth time. Go me! Fandom ftw! ;D Other than that, I've got nothing. I haven't even been watching TV a lot lately, and the last movie I saw was...Casino Royale...well, I guess that's only if you don't consider Band of Brothers to be a movie, but it really might as well be. It's kind of like what Peter Jackson should have done to the LotR movies in order to make them seriously accurate, ya know? A LotR movie miniseries...thing.

Movies...? Oh, I've been eying an almost inactive Zatoichi torrent... if that counts?
As for music, I haven't listened to any in ages, since this computer has no sound, I don't have a CD player or MP3 player, and I'm not going to EVAR listen to music from one of those TVs... ~Eyes TVs.~
TV. Yay TV! As was said, Heroes is coming back tonight--long awaited on my part, since I forgot things were closing up when they were, and was entirely blindsided by the season finale. Also, I watched Battlestar Galactica last night. lol suprepik. Dresden Files was okay. Not win nor epic nor shiny nor neat--just okay. FIVE OUT OF TEN!!!
Books + me = not right now, since I just got done being sick and have had horrible sleep the past week or so. (I lost all concept of time about a month and a half ago) But if manga counts, well...
Berserk is made of win and major epic fightage. Who knew you could take a sword that weighs 500 pounds and kill evil demon-pixies with it?

Cloud's sword wasn't 500 pounds, though. It was more like a "ooh, my sword's so big and sharp and shiny but is really really thin" sword than a "woooow, now that's just a giant chunk of sharpened metal," like Gatts' sword is.
... and Cloud killed demon-pixies?

There was probably evil pixie monsters in there. And I do know who thought of using a 500 lb. sword to kill stuff, even if not pixies. Pyramidhead! Go me.

I don't watch TV, so can't comment. I think I'm the only one here who didn't enjoy Dune very much and we've already discussed LotR. Really, I havn't read a good book since 1984.
(The book, not the year)
Um, Music, I am going through Dan's music collection now. I have been getting a lot of new songs, even before I got here! Also the radio is much better here in AZ for some reason. They just seem to play better songs, flat out. Couldn't imagine why.
A lot of the music I have been getting is classical, Dvorjak (Spelling?) and String Quartets (Beethoven mostly, I just personally find strings to be the most best musical medium ever). To be honest String Quartets were totally unknown to me untill just recently, which is sad, because I couldn't think of any type of music better suit to my tastes. But I'm still getting a bit of rock as well (beatles a bit). I have been listening to country a lot here, although not getting any songs to keep. Just to hear. It is an underapreciated genre in that, only idiots seem to really like it, and some of the songs are done quite well, especially the older ones.

I admit to liking country, but not so much the older songs. Unless it's like Johnny Cash older, since he's cool and all. Sidenote: 'Ring of Fire' will forever remind me of the Silent Hill movie now. I love Big & Rich though, boy I tell you what. They are the hippies of country music, and I definitely dig it.

24!?
Seriously, it has to be my favorite show ever.
Best movie I've seen recently is Pursuit of Happyness, which also got me interested in Rubik's cube.
I'm reading The Fountainhead, which is magnificent, and have just finished Shadow of the Giant, which was almost as magnificent.
And last, as far as music, I've been listening a lot to Canadian Brass and have become somewhat interested in smooth jazz.

I went through a Jazz phase. Dan did too. We went to some Jazz places. The food was great, the live music was... ok.

I've had many jazz phases. That is to say, anytime I watched Cowboy Bebop.

(The book, not the year) WRONG! I agree on all three of those. Actually, I liked the storylines of all of them. It was the writing of LotR and Dune that I disliked.

Will lies. He watches TV a lot, but he only ever watches stuff like the military channel and the discovery channel and other cool but rather educational stuff like that. I don't blame him though; I love those channels too. Mythbusters ftw yo!
